Gin: Wow. Your week really hasn’t been good.

Val: Not even remotely. I ... really miss Sweetwater.

Gin: Me too. But I can’t go back for a visit because Mother took the last opportunity to throw out all my paintings.

Val: Wow. How are you holding up?

Gin: I’m furious and kind of devastated, but I’ve been directing my energies to plotting.

Val: So we agree it’d need to be a permanent move? But there’s no chance they’ll let us out of their sight now.
