Carnelian: You have realm-walking in your family too???? Yarrow: Yeah, but only her. She lived around 250 years ago I think? And it clearly wasn’t hereditary. Carnelian: That’s wild, so there was a sage of alchemy who was a realm-walker… Yarrow: Unfortunately I don’t know too much about her. Most of what we have is second hand accounts, she doesn’t seem to have kept journals like the other sages, or if she did, they’ve been lost. But! She’s the one who convinced the other sages to create the magic realm! So we’d always have a place for magic, safe from the outside world.

Yarrow: You were being a dick, yes. But I appreciate you coming out here and apologizing to me. Carnelian: Yeah… I realized I fucked up, I’ve really enjoyed talking with you, and I’m sorry if I screwed things up. Yarrow: You didn’t screw things up, I’ve had a great time with you too, so I’m actually just relieved you came to find me. I was worried that that would kind of be the end of this.

Carnelian: She’s not all-powerful yet. Her dad is still the current sage, but she’ll be up next after him.  Wintergreen: Okay, whatever, but the point is you like her and you made us all listen to you about how much you like her, so maybe consider doing something about that?
