How is it everyone expects me to happy with my life thurs far? How does my mother not believe me when I look her in the eye and say 'I can't be who you want'?

I wish I had of done the tafe course I wanted to in 2010. I wish I had of ignored my Mum's 'dissapointment' and instead done something I was actually passionate about. Year 12 made me even more unhappy and all I'm getting out of it is a number that will make all the work I put in this year feel wasted and a peice of paper to remind me I didn't follow what I wanted.

I'm super greateful for the friends I have made through school, and I love them to bits, but knowing I could be either almost finished, or half way through a course relevent to where I want to be later in life right now is a really shit feeling, and it's all I've really been able to think about the past few weeks.

I guess shit happens, but at the same time, I really am dissapointed that I take what others say so seriously all the time, and I just wish I could learn to say 'no' to people. I just want to do my own thing.
