Random little tidbits of Weaselstar lore I just wanna write somewhere for the hell of it.

Spottedshade’s vitiligo spreads to her face first, leaving a huge stripe of white. Cats joke it’s because she’s slapped herself so many times out of frustration it’s left a permanent mark.

Spottedshade’s entire apprenticeship is wonky af. She’s a med cat apprentice mostly out of obligation, but is ripped away two or three moons in. Weaselstar takes her to the Moonpool until she gets her name, making her the only ‘paw who gets escorted by her mommy to talk to cat god.

Antpaw was. Not complicated. He tried to tote himself as revolutionary but he only ever really did it to get the girls. He had Fogfur’s loud mouth and Nutstripe’s lack of action.

Spiderstar honestly regarded Weasel as a close confidant and was deeply betrayed when she left. (It didn’t help that she took his son)

Weaselstar is the first leader to ever flat-out ignore her new name and go by her old one for several moons. To this day, most cats just call her Weasel.

Brightfur is ShadowClan’s past- its descent into suspicion and fear. Weaselstar is ShadowClan’s future- moving on and moving up, re-learning to love the night.

Squirrelwhisker will never forgive Weaselstar for the night she lost her apprentice, and will never follow her. But she does believe in ShadowClan.

Arguments are forever ongoing as to whether ShadowClan’s leader should return to its original den or whether the fortified stone should be used for herbs.

Brackenstar’s closest living relatives are Fogfur and Nutstripe.

Brackenstar is the oldest leader in the clans currently, so he therefore is often seen as one of the more wise of the leaders (especially by his own clan). While he is not nearly as harsh as Softstar can be, he still doesn’t tolerate his clan fooling around. He’s very aware of how the other clans view FernClan, but he remains mostly unbothered. Let them think what they want is often his mantra. He knows his clan and their abilities and that is enough for him. He cares deeply for his entire clan from the youngest kit to the oldest elder and is generally the most involved leader of the clans. However gentle he may be to his own clan, he is always interested in their well being and will protect them with his remaining lives if that’s what it takes.
