The Shadow Witch (will include a picture of her below for anyone who doesn't play/hasn't seen Witch's Castle and don't know who I'm talking about) and Witch Y/n the Witch of Veiled Secrets were a part of the original 12 witches that made up the group. However Shadow Witch went her own way splitting from the group due to some-...Questionable experiments she was doing and Witch Y/n left due to shame and guilt after what Shadow Milk had done after corruption so neither was there to witness First Egg completely botch the spell and essentially kill the other witches and herself turning them into cookies.

Neither knows what had happened. They just know the others disappeared without a trace and the 'First Batch' was baked. This is her here:

Once she learnt about the 'miracle' pregnancy between a witch and cookie, she wanted the baby (Shade) for the same reasons she wanted the First Batch. The unique power they held not found anywhere else, so that's why Witch Y/n left and was in hiding for so many years. They would cross paths again, but that wouldn't be until many many MANY years later when Shade's a full grown adult.

She made the mistake of hurting his mother when Y/n refused to hand her son's location over.

The scars on Shade's body are from him and her fighting with the end results being Shade taking inspiration from Hansel and Gretel and shoving her into the oven. The only time he's ever taken a life. It was already bad timing anyways since he was just piecing together what happened with his grandmother from Gingerbrave explaining it to him.

As for First Egg and her minions?

HE PUT THE FEAR OF GOD INTO THEM
