I love how detailed and ambitious the music for the Elder Scrolls is. Like, for Skyrim they have a song where the lyrics are literally the language of the dragons. Not a lick of English. Just a completely fictional language! And then the Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind score has a song where the lyrics are in Ancient Chime, so it’s not even the Dunmeri language used in the games. It’s the language that the in-game language of the Dunmer evolved from.

Honestly, any Elder Scrolls music from Jeremy Soule is usually my favorite.

I could also go on praising the differing styles of music for the expansion packs of ESO due to different areas of Tamriel being featured. It’s just so good.

Broke down and sobbed about this song, what about it. I don't easily cry over music, but the last two minutes shattered any sense of self control I had. 😭 Fucking hell.

Similarities in Jeremy Soule’s soundtracks in different games

Has anyone noticed how “Streets of Whiterun” and “Fear not this night” (both are by Jeremy Soule) began with the same first notes!? I just noticed that! I think it’s kinda cool..? Also, let me take this opportunity to ask everyone who sees this post to listen to the Skyrim (and by extension every Elder Scrolls soundtrack, including the ESO and Beyond Skyrim music )  and the Guild Wars (both 1 and 2) soundtrack.
