Made a sleep pouch for the hoglets, in 34 hours Brad has put on 14grams, and Janet has put on 12grams! They seem to be thriving now I’ve got their little cage setup. Heat mat under the bed area (set on the lowest setting) and fresh water, cimicat milk and spikes meaty moist food. It’s so hard not to get them out and cuddle them! But I keep telling myself that they’re WILD ANIMALS and need to go back into the wild, and no matter HOW CUTE they are they must stay wary of people! Let’s do the Time Warp again…⠀ …⠀ In July last year, I was commissioned by the @hotandflusteredshadowcast performance theatre company to document a show from beginning to end.⠀ It starts early evening with the actors and crew gathering at a cast-member’s Orakei flat.⠀ Every room is filled with activity; make-up being applied, props repaired and costumes wriggled into. The chaos continues as everyone squeezes into not enough cars along with their props and costumes and head off to Sky City theatre – a departure from their usual venue, the Victoria theatre in Devonport.⠀ At the theatre, everyone has a job to do plus frantic last minute make-up and costume detailing, then the nervous wait in the blue backstage glow.⠀ After the drag-queen warm-up act gets the crowd in the mood, the movie starts and the actors race on and off the stage, shadowing the on-screen actors’ performance.⠀ Most in the audience are dressed and made-up in a Rocky Horror drag theme, clutching their props.
