Anon is a misogynist, probably. Sexual fluidity happens in predominantly women and challenges the idea that sexual orientation isn't a choice.
oh, wow! thank you for letting me know. i didn’t know it was mostly a thing for women. i thought it was just like... a universal thing? i know for sure that i felt kind of bad or “less valid” when i started liking a girl when i still thought i was gay, like-- did that make me less true or something? but the more i learned about myself and bisexuality the more i felt that applied to me more and that’s kind of how i see the concept of fluidity? i’m probably doing a shitty job explaining it though, lmao... i just don’t like the idea of someone being shamed if they find themselves attracted to someone that’s outside the scope of what they currently identify as, if that makes sense. sexuality doesn’t have to be set in stone for the rest of your life, since nobody knows what the future might bring...

I think anon is talking about being able to change your sexuality (like in conversion therapy) and not as in "I changed over time and so has my sexuality because I discovered things I didn't know before or because it just changed" (like what I think you meant)?

(addition to my reply:) anon probably misunderstood "fluid" as "can be changed willingly"
that makes sense! i think conversion therapy is total bullshit, but i find it ridiculous to think that a person can’t identify as a different sexuality at a different time in their life because of self-discovery or something along those lines. like OTHER PEOPLE forcing you to be a different sexuality? fucked up. but you, individually, finding out something new about yourself? real. valid. 500% OK
i wasn’t aware my wording was that bad, but then again i’m esl as shit. i’ll be sure to specify next time what i mean since i gather “fluid” is a vague term in other spaces?? just to be on the safe side! thanks for shedding light on this (although anon can definitely still chime in with their opinion)
