Started Jan 25th and finished the first sleeve on day ten (forgot to take a photo). Today I JUST barely got to the end of the last row of the first 50% of the body. Only 74 more stitches to go 😫 So close!
Each stitch marker represents an episode of Hunter x Hunter Season 4 (Greed Island Arc), 17 in all. This sweater is bigger than the last, which only took 23 anime eps for the whole thing.
I'm getting married in November and was planning to make a bunch of video game and anime cosplay for the photobooth, but we've decided to cancel the big event and just keep it a small (like maybe 10 people small).
I had bought a lot of yarn for these hats (this is only half of what I needed) and while I'm still working on my wedding dress, I really want to get rid of this extra yarn but I'm unable to sell it and don't have any friends that craft (or any friends for that matter lol) to give them to. So that means making something then donating it.
I'll be using some of the black and yellow to make striped shirt for my dog and I thought about making a froggy hat (like Usopp's) with the green but I'm not really obsessed with that idea just yet.
All suggestions are welcome. Also, I really doubt I'll be able to mail these out to anyone, so kindly don't treat this like a giveaway. I live in the Philippines and it'll take you 2 months to receive the package.
Notes:
These are 4 ply acrylic, 20 grams per skein which is roughly 40-42 meters in length. The Chocobo hat weighs 87g, and the Mario hat weighs 66g so a simple cap uses about 4 skeins.
I can also make plushies, bags and pillow cases.
All items will be donated to our outreach groups. Before covid, we often hiked mountains or sailed to rural villages and gave groceries, school supplies and clothes to the locals. This was also during the peak of my cosplay "career" where I cosplayed as Alice in Wonderland and read story books and did role play games with the kids.
I'm not looking to sell these, just running out of ideas - or rather I have too many ideas and can't pick one. But if you also happen to be in the Philippines and you really want it, maybe we can discuss shipping.
I put my Sanjirops cosplay on hold to create THIS MONSTROSITY in like 5 hours (technically 15 hours but I had work last night and I went straight to bed after) for an event that’s in 2 HOURS.
I am the biggest masochist I know and I still have to make my tail, ears, maybe gloves if I have time, shower and paint my face.
Forgot to take progress photos but sweater 1 of 3 is just about done
Started Jan 11. Took a week to get halfway and another 10 days for the rest. Been busy with work and I messed up the trim/bands so many times but I think it's safe to say it takes roughly 2 weeks to make a kid's sized sweater.
