12 - A'miru starts arguments all the time, she's terrible that way but I like to think at least the scions are aware enough to see that when she's doing it it's because she's struggling to parse or express something emotionally and not that she's actually mad or frustrated and because of that I don't think they're usually very heated; she's remarkably calm and collected when it's something important because she can usually logic her way through something important with just a bit of time. All of this tends to make me think G'raha probably doesn't start any arguments, he likely never really gets the chance lol and A'miru's too fucking soft to actually argue with him if something was actually upsetting him, she wouldn't fight back, she'd want to find the solution; the only time she fights back @ him is in the bedroom *wink wonk* lol. As far as apologies this is where she gets head bunty, those are her "i'm sorry for being an ass, we can talk about it if you want"'s and every single one of the scions has gotten several of them lol except perhaps the lalafells, i feel like that's incredibly impractical and probably demeaning lol i'll ponder on that one some more I guess.

30 - I thought I was going to struggle with this one bc I think about clothes a lot and took a lot of costuming courses, but A'miru's so easy. Without even thinking she'd put G'raha in a suit. Clean lines, close cut through the shoulders, all in black and let me just tell you something, he's not gonna be in it very long lol. Okay, this other half is making me take forever bc I fully think G'raha would put her in something actually feminine just bc it's something she would never pick out for herself, ever. And probably in something other than black, but I don't think he'd put her in anything that'd make her uncomfortable or wasn't practical. So something that's comfortable, feminine, probably in lighter neutrals like grey, maybe something like a sundress; still very A'miru vibes, just shifted more feminine and lighter than what she'd actually pick for herself, whatever that is lol.

A'miru is constantly taking G'raha's big grey t-shirts, like I sought out and downloaded an oversized t-shirt mod just for her BC I write it into everything lol. She also takes Thancred's jacket that is ginormous on her (this irritates Thancred BC it's white and drags on the floor when she wears it, the curse of being under 5 feet tall) but she tends to only steal that when she's upset or sick; she basically lives in G'raha's t-shirts at home.

I've also written her snatching Urianger's cardigans (BC that big tall softy absolutely wears cardigans at home, you can't convince me otherwise) when she's having a time™️ because he's close like a sibling and has helped her through a lot of things (she's a recovered alcoholic) and his cardigans are basically cozy blankets with sleeves.

Arannis and his crew...not really? Arannis has an aversion to clothes in general lol Urianger and him swap sparkly accessories sometimes, Y'shtola might steal a Uri cardigan from time to time but Arannis' no pants and lack of real shirts tend to keep their wardrobes fairly separate lol

2. Who wakes up early/Who sleeps in late? I believe I've answered this before honestly, and I know I've talked about it but A'miru is NOT a morning person at all. I could see her a 10am wake up kind of person tho. G'raha is a morning person, perpetual student with perpetual student habits of being up early for class bc you know he's there because he wants to be. The only way you're getting Miru out of bed in the early am is with coffee lol

12. Do they have a difficult time when separated from each other, or are they fairly independent? I think they were both so solitary before each other that it's a weird mix of both. They're fine alone on their own and will get done what they need to do and do it without complaining or whining but gosh they miss each other. Miru misses not having to say anything to communicate how she feels and I think G'raha, honestly, misses her needing him for little things like waking up and when she forgets things. He enjoys coaxing her awake and being sort of the "organized one", and he enjoys the little things like joking around and being general cat clowns together, she brings out a lot of mischief in him, helps him let go after all he's had to sit through alone. So yeah, they're both incredibly independent but boy howdy they miss each other a ton. Don't bother them for a while after time away from each other, they're either gonna be gross or be menaces lmao.

13. How do they keep in contact when they’re apart? Do they write letters, talk on the phone, or simply wait out the time? Oh Tataru got them their own linkpearls. They're insufferable over a shared connection with other people. About 2 weeks after G'raha was back from the first Tataru gifted them their private linkpearl bc other scions were tired of hearing them chat about nothing for hours. Just like....I need you to picture being in a group chat with 2 gremlins in love. Literally the worst especially with traveling and mixed timezones. 2 am and hearing "found a bug that reminded me of you" and then hearing "A BUG?! Babe, c'mon, are you calling me a bug?" Like just....they're not incredibly sickly sweet @ each other, that's not why the scions wanted separate linkpearls for them, they're just stupid @ each other lol

46. Do they consider their relationship casual or serious? Is the answer different depending on who you ask? Why? They are that kind of casual you get when you know you're gonna be with that person for a good long while. Like yes they are "serious" but neither of them have grand plans or anything huge like that, they are not inherently serious people. They're both still in their mid to late 20's so they're not really thinking about buying houses and having kids kind of serious. So like....yes they both point at each other and go "that is my life partner" but also they're still very much.....i hesitate to say kids, but still figuring their shit out. Will they last forever? Well they sure hope so but understand life throws unimaginable curve balls at you (haaaaaave you played msq?) and recognize something could happen still to separate them, but have no plans themselves to spend their time with anyone else. And then after all this I have to try and explain how Estinien fits in. He fully has his own life and shit with Aymeric in my canon, him and a'miru just kinda have this closeness of comfort from when A'miru was dragging herself out of the depths of depression. So they have a weird little thing. They sleep together when they're on assignments together, they occasionally bang they have a non-committal relationship that the others involved understand and are fine with. He's her emotional support elf in extremely specific situations. G'raha -> words, comfort, home. Estinien -> stability, brick wall, blunt and not afraid to piss her off to tell her what needs to be said (he's the "you're being an incredible dumbass" one) Anyway I'm not sure this makes sense to anyone else but me but here ya go :3 lol

Uncommon OC questions - 4 How easy is it to earn their trust? 5 How easy is it to earn their mistrust? and 38 What memory do they revisit the most often?

4 How easy is it to earn their trust? As much much as she's grown, I think A'miru still tends to keep most people at arm's length for a while. More of a probationary period than really not trusting someone. I think she wants to trust people but something about growing up without a family and on the streets formed habits in her that have been hard to shake.

5 How easy is it to earn their mistrust? Okay, here's a heel turn for you from the first one, it's actually quite a lot of work to earn her mistrust after she already trusts you. If you've made it through the probationary period, you've been vetted, you're in, as long as you can communicate like an adult she's probably going to give you the benefit of the doubt until things go very bad if it goes that way. She has a probationary period for a reason and so far it hasn't steered her wrong.

38 What memory do they revisit the most often? I don't know that there is just one she goes back to most often, I think there's a series of them, and I think they're a bunch of firsts. The first time she bumped into Lianhua in the Ul'dah markets (yes, she picked his pocket). The first time Thancred caught her stealing, the first time he let her go. The first time a merchant gave her something instead of chasing her away (thanks Lianhua's grandparents ;)) The first time she got paid for doing something, and so on. The important little moments.

🧸 - On a scale of 1 - 10, how ‘soft’ is your OC? 1 being the edgiest of edges and 10 being a literal teddy bear that cries at everything? (Bonus questions, where on the scale would your OC place themselves, and where would they like to be on the scale?)

A'miru would fully place herself at like...-15 on the scale, she thinks she's soooo edgy and stoic, and to be fair, she used to be pretty low on the scale before like.....stormblood and then shadowbringers happens and well, yeah, that's really when she starts spiking up on that scale.

She is a soft baby, not a 10 but a solid 7 at least, probably higher on the bad feels side honestly, especially now after EW with all that trauma lol. She's also very very (read: too) used to being on her own and handling things on her own without really letting people know something is up and that's the part of softness that she struggles with the most, that "hey, i am actually very sad/upset and would like some comfort right now" part.

🌙 - What’s their sleep schedule like?, 🎁 - How do they feel about their birthday/birthdays in general?, and 🐾 - Do they have any pets? :D

🌙 - A'miru's sleep schedule is...fine I guess. She is one of those people who do so much better if they can just sleep until 9:30-10 ish and then stay up a few hours later. She is NOT a morning person, if she's up before the sun something is wrong or someone else is piloting that body (ie one of the boyfriends made sure she was up bc they're both more morning people than she is)

🎁 - A'miru's whole childhood was kind of robbed from her and she's not sure her name/birthday are things from her parents or if they were just given to her by someone filling in gaps when she was young on the streets. She could find out Thancred made her birthday date up when she was little to placate her and she wouldn't be surprised. That being said she finds joy in the effort her friends put forth on the day that she has marked as her birthday. I think for her it's less a symbol of time passing and getting older and more a symbol of her found family and having that support around her now so I'd venture so far as to say these are good days she looks forward to and gets giddy over; especially if Tataru makes cake.

🐾 - up until recently I would have said no, but I got that stupid shaggy shoat minion and I can't stop thinking about her coming home with this pig and being like "can we keep him PLEASE 🥺" and like....you say no to that face, I can't, G'raha couldn't, she has a lil pig now. It's for sure her first pet ever and she for sure did not know at all what she was getting into when she brought it home but she's getting it now.

Ok, for Jorren-

3. He started adventuring to make money, but quickly discovered that he just likes helping people. So now that's his main reason, the gil he gets from it is just a nice bonus. Glory and fame doesn't interest him at all, and never has.

6. He wasn't sure what to make of Hydaelyn at first. He had never heard of her, so he didn't think she was like, an actual god, but he never suspected she might be a primal. After learning more about her, he was a bit upset at first, but when Endwalker stuff started happening he decided that what she was and how she came to be didn't matter, only that she wanted to help and protect people (just like him). And then he met Venat in Elpis, and she became a friend.

11. I don't think Jorren ever thought he was immortal, he just trusts in his own skills to get him through tough spots. And as long as it does, he will keep trying to help and save as many people as he can. Like, he knows it's impossible to save everyone every time, and he's seen the effects of taking failure too personally, so he just tries his best and accepts the results as best as he can.

3. Already answered this one.

5. I am still working out specifics with his backstory, but I think he was still with his tribe when the Calamity struck. It was actually one of the things that prompted the village leaders to send someone outside their territory for information. Which Kelta quickly volunteered to do, for too many reasons to put here (but I will totally share later if people are curious).

6. This will be an incomplete answer, because Kelta is still in ARR right now, and so he still knows very little about Hydaelyn. But for right now, he's not sure what she is, but she granted him some very useful powers, so he might as well use them. He sort of considers her something like a minor/demi-god, and while he personally is not really religious, her interests seem to line up with his own, so he's willing to trust her for now.

17. With where he is in the story, the Empire is very much The Enemy. He knows very little about them except that the leaders want to take over everything, and will kill anyone that opposes them, therefor in his mind they are evil and need to be stopped. And I really doubt that's going to change very much until Endwalker.

3. Are they an early bird or night owl?

Hmm, I think he would fall somewhere in the middle? He’s not typically up at the crack of dawn, but he does get up sort of early. On the flip side, he’s usually ready to go to bed by midnight, though he can stay awake later if he needs to.

Fun fact, he can go at least a couple days on very little sleep and be fully functional. He’ll crash pretty hard and be out for up to almost an entire day afterwards though, to make up for it. 

12. Are they hot-headed or even-tempered? What frustrates them the most?

Jorren’s pretty even-tempered most of the time. The biggest things that frustrate him are probably wasting time when something needs to be done, like, for example, when he needs someone’s help and they want him to run around and do a bunch of pointless quests before they’ll actually do anything. *stares at the Company of Heroes*  Another thing is when people are needlessly cruel or condescending, especially towards others less fortunate than they are. (He really doesn’t like Ul’dah’s Syndicate.)

15. Are they the type to adopt strays (animals or people?) What or who have they “adopted” over the years?

Oh geez, where to start. He adopts pretty much everything that he decides needs a home and/or protector. So far he’s adopted a coerl kitten, his chocobo, a Doman shinobi, a pair of Elezen twins, a Lyse, a giant screechy bird, the father of dragonkind, and various other small cute critters. That’s just what I can remember off the top of my head. (Obviously not all are actually cannon. XD)

23. Where would they fall on a politeness/rudness scale of 1-10 (1 being the most polite and 10 being the rudest)?

He would probably be around a 3, I think. He’s pretty good at being diplomatic, but obviously he has his limits. And even then he’s more likely to just end the conversation with a subtly insulting joke and walk away than to be outright rude.
