I really wish I could make myself see the point in doing stuff, just wanting to isnt enough I'm like oh I want to do this thing then my brain is like what is the actual fucking point though, carry on doing nothing

[blogging about brainspace]
I spent too long with too many other people and now feel all overstimulated and busy-headed and unsleepy and grouch grouch grouch need more fun escapism.
I got trapped in a really vicious insomnia cycle a year or so ago and only in the last few months got right away from it to a state where I could get a happy amount of sleep for me and still wake up naturally in good time for most everything, and having a week where I've not got to sleep before midnight at all seems like a nasty shift away.
Not having more than an hour alone until sleeptime reliably fucks up my ability to switch off; so does both alcohol+caffeine in a day; but here, really, I just haven't done anything uncomplicatedly fun all day. (and I just realised that mattered while writing this; nice work, self!)
Proposed solution: get ready for sleeptimes, then draw interesting stuff designed to amuse you and only you. Design clothing for NaNoFolks or draw comic panels from your dead rock star sister story, self, or doodle a conversation between Dante and Morihei Ueshiba because the concept amused you plenty on the bus home t'other day. (Rationale: they both really liked circles. They maybe would not have agreed about anything else other than the importance of respectful conduct in every day life, but, circles and people pivoting at the exact right time).
Aaand I feel better already. Psychological benefits of sitting still to write shit down: as good as you could hope for!
