Disc Brake Mount Facing. This post is for the extreme bike nerd, anyone who loves their local bike shop and the extremely curious. This post also shows why people shop local and specifically at their neighborhood bike shop. Often a frame shows up and there is professional work and proper bike stools required for the final build. Facing disc brake mounts with the @parktoolblue equipment is one of those things. We sometimes hear people who buy new or used bikes from sources outside of the traditional LBS (Local Bike Shop) and have trouble with something like brakes working properly. We wonder if the bike had been built by a qualified mechanic initially if the problems could have been avoided but too often sound like we are simply trying to sell something when we suggest the work should be done by a bike shop. @dave_conk and all the mechanics here at the a Outpost over the years have always cared about the details and things done properly. There really is good reason to have a shop build a bike. Here are some photos and a quick video of prepping the installation of brakes by facing the mounts. Good luck everyone who doesn’t go through a professional shop and leaves their brakes to the unknown. #brakework #facing #brakemount #mechanic #bikemechanic #lbs #ibd #shoplocal #besafe #facetime #topangacreekoutpost (at Topanga Creek Outpost) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsMlyXAl0u1/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vs5use4b8t20
