i was going to impulse-buy some yarn (i know, i know) because my boss pissed me off but the store's sold out of the specific kind i was going to get. so now i'm even more pissed off but also thankful that it made me make a smart financial decision

like okay based on that post, the impression i'm getting of the neopets ttrpg beta is that it was written with a particular sort of ttrpg player in mind, rather than neopets users that also play ttrpgs

#bramtalk #idk like. there's a fucking balance #but they tend to lean in favour of pandering to the nostalgia of older users #by 'particular sort of ttrpg player' i ofc mean the chaotic neutral ''i want to seduce the dragon and derail the story'' kind of person #which is kind of a slap in the face to players that want to meaningfully engage in a story and its world #and an even harder slap in the face to the poor sucker gm-ing

gonna start carving out 10-15 minutes a day (minimum) to work on tidying my room + the spare room. then once i get rid of some old belongings and junk i'll treat myself with some books

#bramtalk #nobody asked but i'm just posting this partly as a reminder and partly for accountability #specifically for the books i'm planning on using my numerous <bookstore chain> gift cards from my bosses to start collecting volumes of wha #i haven't decided if i want to get the regular volumes or the grimoire editions yet though #i also have to do my taxes before the end of the month #and put in some actual effort to learn how to budget properly

i just have to make it through today and tomorrow and every day after that
