Check Up Time

Honestly, Brandon never thought of himself as a pediatrician. He honestly thought he’d go into surgery. After all, he spent a better part of his med school ensuring that he had the test scores to land a surgical residency. But somehow, he ended up in pediatrics. And he loved it. He genuinely loved it. Sure, it didn’t pay as much as a surgeon, but it paid enough, and residency was only three years. So here he was, an attending, when most of his med school surg-buddies were starting their fourth year. Not bad.
Walking out of his office, Brandon was lucky enough to enter private practice. He had caught the attention of one the partners of the most prominent pediatric practices in the country. After an intensive interview process, he was offered the position of junior partner and was doing well. One of his patients he had the privilege of having been with since her birth. However, he was a bit unlucky that her father was a bit of a worrier. His blue eyes spotted them as he offered a smile.
“Mr. Collins. I’m ready to see you.”
