A boring general answer would be just their people buuut let's do this instead:
Dawn Wyend: Dawn as a teen would sit with Sarah! They were good friends back in the day! Dawn really liked Sarah because they had a lot in common! Especially when it came to shows, namely anime.
Dawn now would sit with TK! She sees TK as a very good friend who's kind of cute. She likes their look overall and thinks their accent is cool. They tease, joke around, and vent to one another often.
Yume Chara: Yume before John Doe would probably be sitting with no one, her blunt nature and "look" tend to scare people off so people assume she wouldn't want anyone bothering her. (sometimes she does forget to shower too 😬) Might take a nap or two to pass the time as well.
Yume now has JD to eat and chat with! Despite being reserved Yume can surprisingly be quite the chatterbox.
She's been known to go on rants and rambling sessions from time to time, JD doesn't seem to mind though :3
Brandy Emsi: Oh boy this was a toughie.
When she and Ian were best buds they'd sit together. During college they call each other and have "lunch" together that way. When Ian wasn't available she'd sit with Shaun and try to understand his many horror movie refs.
After the break up, she tend to sit alone...Worried, Shaun would try sitting with her again.
Brandy might sit with 1 or 2 coworkers she was comfortable with. She might not talk much because of shyness but if the subject has to do with fashion she'll lighten up and try VERY hard to comment
NOW she has Jack as company (whether she wants to or not)
