Quick Alter Guide!

it's DID awareness day and we've been meaning to do this for a while anyway so here's a probably-scuffed lil rundown of who we all are! everything subject to change lol

Juno: they/them. our host! I do my best to keep the guys in my brain happy and also make us look relatively normal externally lol. i'm a creative and I run our youtube channel!

Brandy: he/him, cohost. legend has it that juno drew a really cool guy one day and then liked him so much that he was brought to life (i'm an oc introject. whoops!) i try to make sure we take it easy whenever we can, mostly. i was a bassist in my past life and i'd love to gab with someone about classic rock for hours

Six: they/it, cohost/protector, introject of our Courier Six from our new vegas playthrough. these days I largely represent our anxiety and sense of responsibility (tough work but someone's gotta do it) but i guess also like... sentimentality and thoughtfulness or whatever lmao. i'm usually fused with brandy and/or juno anyway so don't expect to hear from me on my own too often. may or may not have been behind most of our creative writing for the last... forever

Max: he/him, protector/persecutor, aka the grouchy one but also the only one with a backbone, + middle (~14-19) probably human, not an introject (i think) but i do have memories of a past life. wasn't a fun one. currently honing the art of complaining in a way that's humorous and not abrasive. if you're the right type of person you'll understand the joy of complaining

Critter: they/it/he/she, little (~6-12) + joy holder!! im nonhuman and im a lil animal creature of some sort!! just a lil critter lol that's why im named that! i have all the joy and whimsy and i like to play touys and i guess im also the most sensitive of the bunch. i like to lighten the mood of tha system and i like to have fun!!! i hope ur having a good day 👋!!!!

Guinevere/Gwyn: she/it. I'll take a page from another system's terminology and call myself an "operator." I get things done if nobody else can. I believe I share a source with Max, and my memories of it are equally foggy and unpleasant. I will not discourage attempts to be social with me, but know that I am something of an "emotionless" alter and thus many find interacting with me to be more trouble than it's worth. I've accepted this. But I hope you might try anyway.

For the system questions, I remember a post from brandy that made the distinction of “both bodily and as an alter being Puerto Rican” so I’m curious how that works across different alters? Are you all Puerto Rican or like, does it depend alter from alter?

oh ok this is a fun one! so alters can take literally any form in headspace- some are humans, some are anthro animals, some are actual animals, some are other types of nonhuman, some are introjects of fictional characters or even real people! so human alters don't necessarily have the same race/culture as the host/body (and this principle also applies to things like gender/sexuality tho that's slightly different), esp when u consider that alters can sometimes come w their own memories of a previous life

this can be a kinda difficult subject for systems where the body is white and they have alters of color, or systems who otherwise have alters that dont align w their bodily race (we once had an alter that was wasian but she's since gone dormant) but frankly i don't think it's that hard of a controversy to avoid as long as you aren't like, going online and posting as if you are bodily a race u aren't lol

as far as brandy goes (ill just let him answer this part): im one of those alters with "false memories" lol! i had a whole life before this and i remember friends and family and like major events in my life and stuff but ofc i also know im puerto rican! which is mostly just a pleasant coincidence that juno is too, but i also wouldn't put it past them to have designed me like that unknowingly in a bid for self-confidence lol. most of our other alters are nonhuman to some extent so they aren't really thinking abt that stuff. if white isn't actually white though that would be really funny
