Braneld
The capital of Aramount, a utilitarian and martial kingdom. The city is extremely old, built by dwarves and used by them as a way station for merchants. As humans grew in numbers, the city was largely abandoned by the dwarves. They maintained a garrison, but used the city very little. As Dathod brought the kingdom together, he began seeking a location for the capital. He found the city, and brokered an alliance with the dwarves. With the help of Balmorn, a dragonborn exile, he forged a kingdom from the rough landscape and renamed the dwarven city Braneld. Humans filled the city with the forming of the kingdom. They expanded on the dwarven foundations, and the city grew into a bustling metropolis. Tensions are high in the city at the time of the adventure. With the assassination of Dathod's son, Dathomir, the tensions have only increased. Humans blame dwarves for the city’s problems, dwarves resent the humans for building atop their heritage. The Guildmasters rule the city, with the city champion, Balmorn.
