I went to sleep in one country, and I woke up in another. If it is possible for someone’s heart to be split into two, then that’s exactly what mine is. I am the only American born to immigrant parents and we are the only ones in the US. Our entire, very large, family resides in Brasil (with the exception of a few cousins who live abroad). I didn’t go for the most joyous reason (My grandmother was very ill.), but I still managed to have a magnificent time as grandma’s condition significantly improved. I love life in Brasil and hope to spend longer amounts of time there in the future. One week was not nearly enough. Grateful to my husband for holding down the fort with my eldest while I took this trip with our little one. He was able to meet his great-grandmother and I will forever cherish those memories. Brasil, I love you. And I miss you already. 😔 (at Centro, Santa Maria) https://www.instagram.com/p/BRwqF9-hoHc/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xjzz2e4h2kga
