This week, I was speaking to a friend of mines. I told her how 4 years ago, when I first started Brass & Sassy, I had people in my ear telling me how "everyone has a business", some even told me to get a part time job, as a plan B. I sit back today and wonder what would of happened if I had listened to them. I would of never had the opportunity of knowing what my capabilities are. I would of never been able to witness these beautiful queens rocking my designs. Brass & Sassy has touched women, all over the world, places I may never visit. Those thoughts bring tears to my eyes. Every time you all send me a pic of you in Brass & Sassy, I'm constantly reminded why I dropped out of college and quit my job. There's no plan B...there never was. I knew what I wanted and I wasn't going to let nothing or no one stop me from doing what I wanted to do. If you got a dream, no matter how many millions of people are doing it, DO IT!!!! Many people have done nothing but failed their entire life and so they will plant seeds of doubt and discourage you. Retain that tunnel vision and trod on. The road isn't neatly paved, but the journey is like no other. I love all my Sassy sistas!!!!! Thank you!!!! #handmade #smallbusiness #brassandsassy #ankara #blackownedbusiness #africanfashion #brand #designer #caribbean #afropunk
