Tevan baby's first Halloween, what is the baby dressed as? (My attempt at a fun ask, I hope this suffices)
Oooooh this is such a great question!!!
Okay so I can see Tommy at first wanting to go classic and having their baby be a pumpkin, but Buck (who now has trauma with pumpkins) is like nope! They should be a basketball 😁 and Tommy's like ????? "Evan you HATE basketball" (which he FINALLY admitted to after they got back together) but Buck's like "yeah but it's a part of our Lore™️" but they eventually compromise and go with baby yoda bc they both love star wars and one thing they CAN agree on is how adorable Grogu/baby yoda is
Rules: Without naming them, post a gif from ten of your favorite films and then tag ten people to do the same.
Tagged By: I was tagged by @brassm / @brassdragonage, @mistchievous, and I think about three other people, my goodness, people really want to know my favorite movies!
Tagging @captainofthefallen and @peridotglimmer who might've both already been tagged but oh well. I'm too tired to try and remember people, take this as a tag if you want it.
Edit: remembered @oldshrewsburyian @tripleaxeldiaz and @qqueenofhades (no pressure, darlings)
Bestie, 👀 can I request 5. “Happy Valentines day.” [“I didn’t think we would do anything for it.” “I changed my mind, I wanted to treat you.”] if it sparks joy ✨ thanks
hey bestie 💕
@brassm asked for the same
here's some fluff for you guys 💖
established buddie, ca. 650 words, continues under the cut
Buck is exhausted when he steps into the house around nine pm.
Working a shift without Eddie is always tough. Not because he doesn't trust the other firefighters, they are all trained professionals, but for some reason it just drains him more.
He was filling in last-minute for Walters, so the guy could be with his wife while she gave birth. A Valentine's Day baby, that's kind of nice.
But the shift ran a few hours long as they responded to a large fire, and while they got everyone out, seeing the burns that these people would have to live with for the rest of their life still has Buck feeling off-kilter even after all these years of being a firefighter.
It's quiet in the house, and Christopher is most definitely already asleep. Buck feels a bit guilty about not being home before bedtime like he said he would, even though he knows that Christopher understands.
(continues under the cut)
He toes off his shoes and leaves them next to the rack, knowing that Eddie will complain about it, but figuring that's something he can deal with later. Buck texted his boyfriend when they got back to the station, telling him that he'd be home soon, so when the light in the living room is off, he figures that he'll find Eddie in the kitchen.
Sure enough, Eddie is there, standing at the stove, and the smell of food cooking reaches Buck's nostrils and has his stomach rumbling. It's been too long since he last ate.
"Hey," he says, and Eddie looks over his shoulder, smiling softly.
He's wearing a nice but soft-looking Henley and a pair of slacks that Buck knows are Eddie's favorite because they look more formal but are actually really comfortable.
"Happy Valentine's Day," Eddie replies as a greeting, taking the pot off the stove and putting it on the table before moving over to the oven to take out a dish.
Oh, of course. That's what's going on.
"I didn’t think we would do anything for it."
They didn't, right? Was he supposed to get Eddie a present or something? Buck is pretty sure they agreed to skip it this year.
Eddie puts the dish on the table, then comes over to Buck, putting his hands on Buck's hips and kissing him short but sweet.
“I changed my mind, I wanted to treat you,” he says. "How was your shift?"
Buck grimaces, shaking his head as he puts his arms up to rest on Eddie's shoulders. He'd rather not talk about it.
The look on Eddie's face changes ever so slightly to one of understanding. They've had their fair share of bad shifts, and he knows that it's always harder alone.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there," Eddie murmurs, bringing one hand up to cup Buck's face, thumb softly caressing over his cheekbone.
Buck lets his eyes slip closed, a soft breath escaping him. "Not your fault, I volunteered to take this shift."
Eddie is softly swaying the both of them to a tune that isn't playing, and Buck feels content in his boyfriend's arms.
"You cooked, huh?"
"Hm-hm."
When he stepped into the house, he'd been hoping to crawl into bed, maybe convince Eddie to have an early night in as well so they could cuddle for a while. But Eddie put in all this effort just for him, because it's Valentine's Day and he wanted to do something nice for Buck.
He blinks his eyes open again, letting his arms slip away from Eddie's shoulders.
"Then we should eat," he says, and then with a light smirk he adds: "Maybe I can think of a way to treat you as well."
Eddie grins, stealing a quick kiss before Buck slips out of his hold.
