Braun has struggled against the Pirates current pitching staff… we will see if he can turn that around in 2019 (most of them are back!)

WORST: 2011 (his MVP year?!?)… 2012 and 2017 were also sub-par against The Reds
Braun has always played well against The Reds but if he follows the current trend, he is due for an “off-year” against them (hopefully he can buck it)

Braun grounds out a lot against the Pirates and Cards
The Cardinals have let him reach on error quite a bit though
The Pirates also like to intentionally walk him
And finally, no surprise…. The Cubs have hit Braun twice as much as any other team in the division!
Here’s to hoping we see a lot of ‘2013 Cubs Braun’ and very little of ‘2015 Cardinals Braun.’
Let’s hope Braun has his best saved for 2019 and the most talented division in baseball.
