AGREED. As a character, I love Adachi. He’s a brilliant antagonist. I just cannot wrap my head around people that think he’s just a ~misunderstood nice dude that needs a hug~ or whatever omfg haha he’s seriously REALLY AWFUL.
Oh exactly! He even has the out - he could have just said 'it was all Ameno-sagiri and Izanami what done the thing' but he doesn't! He is a stone-cold bag of dicks.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Adachi is an excellent villain. A BRILLIANT villain. He's goofy enough to like him throughout most of the game, but then once you realise that he's actually behind the murders, it all falls into place, and you visit him in Magatsu Mandala and he's great, he's the exact opposite of Narukami, he's so wonderfully contemptuous of the sleepy rural life and what he sees as country bumpkins and just wants to be something better and something exciting and it drives him to murder for fun because he doesn't think of the people around him as human at all.
Which makes him great as a villain in a story, but and absolutely horrible person. What he does is inhuman. He discovers his strange power when he's in the process of assaulting a Mayumi Yamano, so we see that he's willing to commit evil acts even without the impunity that the Midnight Channel grants him. After his subsequent murder of Saki Konishi, he goes on to manipulate an innocent man into kidnapping and nearly causing the death of 4 people, while thinking that he's protecting his victims. And then when Nanako's kidnapping causes her to die (albeit temporarily), while he has always given the impression of liking Nanako, he uses her death to spur on the Investigation Team to (nearly) kill Namatame themselves. And when confronted about it, he's entirely unrepentant. Even after the reveal that he was being possessed by Ameno-sagiri, he still says that he wanted to do the things that he did.
THERE IS NOTHING 'NICE' ABOUT TOHRU ADACHI. He's a bare-faced liar and a manipulative son-of-a-bitch, and his entire goofy 'rookie detective' schtick is a facade. And that's what makes him such a good character.

Awwww man THANKS DOOD ; <;)) it's great to hear someone sees improvement in my art b/c I haven't felt like I've escalated any this year...
But yea yea never stop drawin it's incredible how much progress you can make even in just a year!! It's funny b/c I've spent a lot of my morning goin through some of my friends' old art and seeing how they've improved and it's so motivating and cool, I love everyone
