How were you discovered?
My family and friends have encouraged me to pursue modeling because of my interest in fashion and love of clothes and products that make people feel confident about themselves.
What were you doing prior to modeling?
I am a Graphic Designer, finishing my final fifth year at Purdue University in Visual Communications Design. I started off at Purdue as a Fine Arts major then made the switch to graphic design my junior year.
People would be surprised to know?
People may find it surprising that I am a huge nature girl. I have always loved the outdoors, ever since I was little and would follow my Dad around the yard. We would work on projects together, mainly landscaping and repotting plants and such. I have always enjoyed the freedom and refreshing sense that comes from spending time out under the sun and observing the many beauties that nature holds.
What is your latest Obsession?
I would have to say yoga is my latest and greatest activity. My roommate this year is a yoga instructor and has helped me realize the importance of balancing the mind, body and spirit. With so many obligations in life it is so necessary and wonderful to be able to come into my own and work on myself so that I can be the best person for myself and everyone around me. It has made me such a firm believer in good vibes and how reflecting them on others really makes a difference.
What is your most prize possession?
My most prized possession(s) would have to be the beautiful glass beads that my brother Mike has crafted over the years in his pursuit of a glassblowing/melding career. Some are more intricate than others containing floral elements and patterns, they are all little treasures to me. I usually wear a different one every day because I feel that they bring good fortune and of course remind me all the time of my brother I love so much. We are both creative in our own way and are very close.
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
Growing up I would have to say both my parents were and still remain my heroes. They both are very hard workers and have made such a nice life for me that I am so very grateful to have. They have been there for me no matter what and have been a very solid support system. They have always encouraged my brother Mike and I to pursue our personal and creative endeavors. It is my goal to one day to have the same close-knit family I had growing up.
Describe your personal style…
My personal style is usually pretty laid back, sometimes it feels good to just dress like a tom boy- no make-up, a flannel and some ripped jeans. Other times, I’ll doll it up a little more with some bright colors, unique top comfortable jeans and fashionable point toe shoes. From time to time if I’m really in a good mood I will put on a dress. My favorite outfit lately is a maroon lacy dress that is tighter at the torso and flowy towards the bottom, it’s mid-length and with my army boots the perfect early October ensemble.
When was the last time you said “I Love You” to someone?
The last time I said “I Love You” would be to Mom over the phone yesterday. We say we love each other to the moon and back. That is typically our goodnight catch phrase.

Your favorite place you have traveled to?
My favorite place I have traveled to would have to be St Croix, one of the 3 US Virgin Islands. With so many gorgeous white sand beaches, perfect breezy, warm, tropical weather, and so many fun outdoor activities to do, St. Croix remains my favorite place to visit.
If there’s a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your town what would you recommend?
The Catlow Theater in Barrington is really fun to go to, it is an older theater dating back to the early 1930s which is pretty cool. Every night a movie starts at 7 and the movie being played changes every week or so. Baloney’s Sandwich Shop is also right next door so and is a great place to pick up dinner before the show!
What is your favorite film?
My favorite film..that’s tough because I have so many and am a big movie watcher! I would have to say “Gone with the Wind,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Get Him to the Greek” would be my top 3.
Your favorite sport or sports figure?
My favorite sport would have to be volleyball. It is both my favorite sport to play and watch because of its exciting fast-paced nature.
Your favorite song/artist?
Lately my favorite songs are “Lovely Day” by Alt-J, “Lake Michigan” by Rogue Wave and “Dreams” by Beck
What is your wish for 2016?
My wish for 2016 is to continue to make great contacts Purdue as well as in other areas of my life that would help further my graphic design and modeling careers. I have been so fortunate with the people I have already met and really look forward to the people I will meet in the future.

What is your favorite thing to do after school?
Bike riding, skateboarding, trampoline, basketball & practicing on my keyboard. I like to watch YouTube videos to help me learn how to play songs I like, and my sister teaches me a lot. On rainy days, I like to build and play with my legos and like to play on my PS3.
Who do you look unto as your hero?
My mom, she fixes me when I get hurt or sick. She does everything to try to make me feel better.
What do you want to be when your "grow up"?
Firefighter, Movistar or a professional boxer. Boxing is cool and I know I could WIN!

What is your favorite food?
I love watermelon! I like it to be with the seeds, because if it has seeds I get in trouble for throwing them at my big brother and sister... I like to eat chicken nuggets from Wendy's, because when my mom takes me she gets me a happy meal with a toy and applesauce. If I eat all my food, I get a frosty!
What are your hobbies?
I like to swim, bike ride, basketball and play sports! My mom lets me play all the sports I want. I took swimming lessons and that is one of of my favorite things to do. When I go to the YMCA I can jump in the deep end and swim like a fish.
What is the last book your read?
My sister reads the one and only Ivan to me and I love it! It talks about the Grimm Legacy and the Grimm Brothers tales about magic! I love magic.

I like my red Nike basketball outfit. It matches my red shoes, my brother says I look "fresh."
If you could have three wishes what would they be?
I wish that I could get a playstation 4, that I didn't have any homework, and I really wish that my Grandma would feel better.

Playing football at UCLA brought me national attention in the world of sports, but after college I was/am on a MTV show called Are You The One, which gave me the exposure needed to transfer my athletic career into the entertainment world, which is what I ultimately want to do with my life.
What were you doing prior to modeling?
I graduated from UCLA where I played football. My dream was to play in the NFL, but due to a career ending knee injury, it crossed off that option and allowed me to look at different career paths, which led me to acting and modeling.
What is your latest Obsession?
My last obsession is salted cashew butter. I can’t get enough of it. It’s healthy so I eat it often, but I always end up eating too much of it and feeling sick because of how addicting it is.
What is your most prize possession?
As cheesy as it sounds my most prize possession is my family. They mean the world to me and support me in everything I do, and I don’t know what I would do without them. They are always here for me through thick and thin, and I truly never know how exactly to thank them for how appreciative I am of having them.
Growing up, who did you look up to as your hero?
I grew up looking up to Matthew McConaughey. He is the reason I grew my hair out in the first place and wanted to get into acting. I love his laid back personality. Since becoming a fan of him, he has also become one of Hollywood’s top actors with his diverse roles that he plays. He also has kept himself out of trouble and has a beautiful family, which is humbling and inspiring to see from someone of his stardom.

I am a very laid back kind of guy that loves to be the friend that people come to for advice and help. I am also a very big family man, so I’m at my happiest when I am with my family.
When was the last time you said “I Love You” to someone?
I have a best girl friend from the MTV show I was on. She and I had a love connection on the show and have since become best friends. We text, phone call and facetime everyday and she has become like my sister, who is always there for me at the drop of a hat. We tell each other we love one another daily.
List 3 adjectives that best describe you?
I am a very goofy/witty person. I am almost never serious. I am also very down to earth. Everyone always confuses me as this cocky football player/surfer that is full of himself, but once people get to know me its always fun to hear how I act the total opposite of how I look. I am also very romantic. I’m a sucker for cheesy romance, which I can have a laugh about, but I truly love love.
Your favorite place you have traveled to?
Both Maui and Puerto Rico have been my favorite travel destinations that I have been to. I love tropical environments. I always have envisioned myself living on an exotic island and using the ocean as my shower. My next places I want to visit are Fiji, Bora Bora and any other place where the ocean water is crystal clear.
If there’s a destination or item you would recommend us to check out or visit about your town what would you recommend?
There’s not a must see place to visit while in Barrington, but if you go a few towns over to Crystal Lake, you should definitely go to Portillos. Especially if you are from out of state and come to the Chicago area, Portillos is a must. Great hot dogs!
What is your favorite film?
I couldn’t tell you my one favorite film, but my top favorite films are The Notebook, High School Musical 2 and The Wolf of Wall Street. All three movies are different, but they all put me in a very happy mood either from their inspiring love stories, childhood memories or comedy.
Your favorite sport or sports figure?
My favorite sports figure is and will always be my brother, Gus Handler. He too played college football and paved the way for me to play also. I was really into baseball and basketball and wanted nothing to do with football until I visited him while he was playing at the University of Colorado, and instantly fell in love with the sport. Set my goal to play college football, went to UCLA and ended up playing against my brother on national television twice.
Your favorite song/artist?
My favorite singer is Justin Bieber, but has hasn’t always been the best role model. But I love his coming to be story. He was just a small nobody from Canada who took his shot at his dream and has become the most known person on earth. My next favorite is Selena Gomez. She has achieved so much in her life and has remained a positive role model throughout her entire career. Needless to say she resembles my dream from her personality to her looks
What is your wish for 2016?
My wish for 2016 is to land a role in a feature film. My dream has always been to become an actor, so landing a role in a feature film would be a great start to my dream profession.

Who do you look unto as your hero? God, because he loves everyone.
