Doodle Diary 1/5(Belated) Happy New Year!
We are now a full 5 days into 2024 and I am just now getting back into the swing of things... It feels like I haven't really come out of holiday mode but to my credit, I did roll prematurely out of holiday mode and right into debilitating chest infection mode and it stunted my momentum quite a bit.
After missing work and trying my hardest get to the point where I can stay lucid and exercise for more than 20 minutes without losing my breath, I think I'm ready to commit to my very serious resolution of being more in-tune with my art and the silly sensibilities that drive it. Looking at my old work archived in Pixiv, I feel like something's been lost in my newer work and I'd like to figure out how to get it back... I believe I can do that just be letting go of some of my inhibitions I have when posting art.
On another note, Cosmic Discord didn't get to have it's New Years event but we're doing a make up this weekend so stop by!
Doodle Diary 11/30
Fall is out now...
So for about a week now, the temperature has fallen below 35 degrees F (until randomly jumping to 50 today when I'm too weak and nauseous to walk outside, thanks for that weather) and it's the end of November already with one month to go before 2024... I'm trying to stay in a positive disposition, realizing what's coming and what's happening now, but also trying to stay awake and not forget that you can always do things for small immediate change around you even if it feels like nothing in the grand scheme of things. Going to one food drive and clearing your closet out of things that can be given away for the third time in a year and remembering to vote are the least you can do and if nothing else, it keeps you from succumbing the the throngs of jolly capitalism and family drama for a bit while helping someone out.
It's been a pretty fridgid period for my art overthinking things and not being as productive as I'd like with the time I had, but with what we have planned for DrawCast and what I've got worked out on the side as far as pet projects goes, that will flip over in due time. For now, let's bulk up and prepare to survive the holidays. Oh, and have a happy Kissinger Finally Died!
