Crying in the middle of a crowded bar was not how Lorianne planned to spend her evening. Lori has always been a sensitive person, it’s just how she was wired, but she used to handle things with a different air. She was once fierce, a firecracker of a human. But now she was diluted, plagued by her tribulations. And the truth of the matter was this: she wasn’t often sad. She didn’t like being sad, and she especially hated being openly sad. But maybe that’s changed and perhaps heartbreak was a vigorous emotion that she could no longer bury.
So, she takes another shot with tears in her eyes, the tears falling down her flushed cheeks soon after. Her head turns, making eye contact with Brody. When she does, she’s quick to avert her gaze, a groan sounding from her. “God damn it.” The woman mumbles under her breath, “Yeah, yeah, whatever. I’m crying in the middle of a bar. Soak it up while you can.”
