Hi friends. First off, thank you so much for all your thoughts and well wishes for my family and me as we remembered Avery's birthday last week. It means a lot. One thing I remember from the time of Avery's birth is a loaf of bread that our doula made for us. Bread is so good. Yes, I know, I know it's so not fashionable to eat bread these days but man, I can't quit it. I bought a baguette yesterday and had it with soup...I have a cold, you see. :( I also took that baguette, chopped some of it up with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, baby kale and tossed it with olive oil, balsamic and salt. So tasty. It would have been better had the bread been toasted but whatever. It was still good. Bread haters are missing out. And tomorrow: challah! Because it is the start of a new year after all.
