Eat. 

To eat is to live.

To live is to devour others.

Roma survived from such a simple code since she was young. She had no memory of parents, or any other guiding influence. The only thing that raised her was her own hunger. She wanted to keep living even though at the time she did not possibly know why. Even in this city she felt compelled to eat still. 

Hoito Roma hovered over her kill ripping at it with her bare teeth. This was her first real meal since coming to this city. She wondered if she would enjoy it a little bit. The answer was no. As blood dripped from her lips she realized this. Meals that put up no fight at all were no fun. They were like toys that broke too easily. 

“Mmmmm... it’d really be nice to have someone to debate the finer points of philosophy with. Too bad you’re dead, mr. Apologize right now, apologize for dying!” Roma said as she picked the man’s head up. She puppeteered it around for a moment. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’ll apologize for boring you. I’ll apologize until I’m dead. She parroted out in a voice like a ventriloquist. “A dead person’s apology has no use to me!” She yelled before tossing the head aside. 

Just then she heard a gasp of horror from the edge of the alleyway. It seemed that somebody had stumbled upon her. “Oh hello!” She said with a friendly smile. “You’re uh... you’re... Pink.”

This new place was a disaster, and frankly, he would be a little more disoriented about being dragged somewhere new if it was a bustling city again rather than... This. It reminded him of the mirror world Illuso dragged him into. Completely empty---though in more ruins than he’d think. There were some people around, but they were more like shadows. Walking around, he simply kicked at some of the rubble. It was kind of nice knowing there wasn’t anything here he could ruin.

Stopping, he bent down to pick up one of the larger pieces of rubble. Feeling the weight in his hand for a bit, he eventually wound back and tossed it. It went farther than he thought, and he didn’t get the sound he was expecting either from it hitting the ground. Frowning, he walked forward to peek around some more rubble, only to find someone crouched there, with the rubble next to them.

Oops.

“Scusi, I didn’t know anyone was around here,”

“Are you alright?”
