 Saw @terupancake‘s breakfast-sona game and it looked like fun. This is my Banana-waffle-sona-outfit-me-thing.

So there’s a Breakfastsona contest being hosted by an artist I really like? Count me in. Poppy seed buns, sunny-side up eggs, croissants, and a side of black tea sounds nice. Though, that’s a lot of bread, isn’t it...

Eggs, Turkey Ham, and Cheese sandwich!! (w/ ketchup)

I always ate this for breakfast because they were easy and quick to make, but I would always be running late and trying to juggle the milk that my mom always pours for me without asking and the coffee I made without realizing there was milk... (´・ω・`);; Details under the cut:

I miscalculated how fast/slow I worked, so sadly I can only present my lineart before the very end; I’ll still be working on it though, even if everything’s already judged! I put a lot of effort into this piece and ended up really liking it, so I want to color it and see it grow in a sense...? (´・ω・`);;;;;;; sorry if i rambled on too long rip.

I intended on putting most of the theme truly into the colors, where the dress shirt would have a yellow runny circle for the runny egg that I like most, the cheese jacket-tailcoat would be cheesy yellow of course, and the shorts would be turkey ham-colored. I’m still not sure how to implement the texture of crispy quickly-fried turkey ham, but I planned on trying to do something like that. The shoes, bow tie, and gloop on my head would be ketchup-red, because I firmly believe in even ketchup distribution and it’s the best when each layer (except for the cheese) has ketchup on it! I wasn’t sure how to implement the actual buns since we always bought sesame seed-hamburger buns in lieu of sliced bread because it’s more convenient and specific; This is actually the second attempt at a piece since I thought the first one was too bland pose-wise, and decided to mix it up!ヽ( •̀ ω •́ )ゝ✧ I don’t always get to eat breakfast because I always oversleep, but when I do it’s something of a struggle LOL... I end up with two drinks that I have to finish, ketchup too quickly-applied being too runny, and the ham being either overcooked or undercooked... I hope it’s the former. The cuffs are also undone because I usually end up fixing myself up AFTER I leave the house thanks to how long I take eating breakfast, aha... I wanted to have the design be something simple like the sandwich itself but have some formal-looking components too because that’s my sort of style. As a result, I made dress shirt + jacket with tailcoat (?) + shorts-socks-shoes. I wanted to keep to this sort of concept, so I made the jacket only half-put on the arms and instead look melty and falling off, in contrast to everything else that was pretty solid.

the idea for #breakfastsona was so cute i couldnt resist-- my theme is supposed to be noodles and the costume to be pyjama-like  bc y’know.. breakfast
