Breakfasttale Alphys:

Introduction: Alphys the scrambled egg dinosaur! Scrambled eggs are pretty good brain food, great for a royal scientist to be made of. Alphys's design is very scrambled egg like. Splotches of egg white dotting her skin, along with ketchup drizzled on her to add a bit of color to her yellow and beige scheme. Also, if you look at the ketchup on her shoulders, you can see that the ketchup water is grossly leaking into her lab coat.

Routes: During the genocide route, she, as she would do in the regular undertale route, is busy evacuating all the surviving monsters from the underground. So Frisk doesn't see or meet her, as usual. During the pacifist route though, Frisk does meet her! As per usual, only finally meeting her in her lab in the hotlands, where she is shocked to meet you so soon after stalking you through her weird government cameras all throughout the underground. Alphys is known to give Frisk a new phone, where she will spam her socials and give Frisk constant distractions for a couple minutes after receiving the phone. This is normal, except for the fact that the phone Alphys gives Frisk, is actually a hardboiled egg that she has engineered to act like a phone. Helping Alphys on her, lets call it a date, with Undyne/Frisk behaves as usual as well, with it starting out as a miscommunication, having Alphys think that the letter Frisk gave her was from us instead of Undyne, turning awkward quickly, and ending with Undyne and Alphys confessing to each other in a weird way and Papyrus showing up to have Alphys run 100 laps. The Secret Lab, lasts as usual, having Frisk fight horrifying amalgamates in the form of left-over foods for their breakfasttale designs, having them corner Frisk in a room, and then Alphys shows up to shoo them away; apologizing to Frisk for their behavior.

Wrap up: There we have our awkward anime loving royal scientist! Here's a fun detail: Mew Mew Kissy Cutie in Breakfasttale is called: Mew Mew Kissy Foody

Breakfasttale Mettaton:

Introduction: Mettaton's design for this universe isn't based on a reference photo, as he is his own brand, therefore he is his own type of cereal, specifically the Mettaton brand of cereal. Mettaton has a percaline type bowl for most of his body, with cereal and pink food dye stained milk inside.

Routes: On the genocide route, Mettaton turns into 'Mettaton Neo,' and promptly gets KO'd by Frisk with a single attack. This one-&-done fight basically gives you a free consumable for battle, a bowl of cereal, that allows Frisk to move faster to dodge attacks quicker when eaten. This status effect lasts as long as the battle and adds +10 'glamour,' which adds no additional effects whatsoever. On the pacifist route though, Mettaton's story lasts a lot longer, obviously. Frisk meets Mettaton in the lab, where he crashes through a wall and promptly forces Frisk to participate in a deadly quiz show. The quiz ends in Frisk getting all the questions right with the help of Alphys, and Mettaton leaving. Frisk's second encounter with Mettaton is the baking show, where Mettaton forces Frisk to be an assistant in making pancakes (instead of a cake), where a human soul turns out to be the main ingredient, and Mettaton attempts to attack Frisk with a Mettaton Cereal Brand Chainsaw™; this gets promptly thwarted though when Alphys calls into the show and asks about how to make vegan pancakes instead. Side Detail: When asked the question, 'isn't eating pancakes some form cannibalism?' Mettaton will state that he is famous, therefore nothing he does should be questioned, then he quickly moves on with the show. The Mettaton EX battle plays as usual, only having an extra ACT which allows the player to 'Advertise Mettaton Brand Cereal' by holding up a cereal box and smiling at a camera.

Wrap up: There we have our 'pink flavored' Mettaton Brand Cereal bot! He's actually my most favorite to have designed, I think his bowl form turned out really well :D

Silly little Breakfasttale sketches

just some silly little base concepts for side characters :]

Breakfasttale Frisk:

Our main character, Frisk, hooray! Introduction: The last human to fall into the underground, greeted with a breakfast blast of monsters who want their soul to break down the great magical barrier.

The human has a fairly common Frisk design, with, of course, some kind of defining features being: the food crumbs on their face, the knee high socks, and rolled up sleeves.

Routes: On a genocide route in Breakfasttale, Frisk, instead of finding a toy knife in the ruins, finds a fork, because the monsters are food. Breakfast food specifically. Along with the genocide route, when a monster dies, they turn into a fluff of batter (or a fluff of whatever it takes to make the breakfast they're based on), with a dish of what they were based on set on the ground where they last stood. Which, if wanted, Frisk would take the dish into their inventory as a consumable item during battle, being able to heal more and give temporary special battle traits. On a pacifist route on the other hand, Frisk is filled with Determination to get out of the underground while helping the monsters escape as well. Throughout the pacifist route, everything is mostly similar, give or take a few details. Finding the breakfast barrier though, Asgore shares that ever since the barrier had come up by some strange food obsessed human sorcerer's magic, monsters had begun adopting traits as their magic transformed to become akin to certain breakfast foods. Asgore admits that even he was frightened by these transformations, but he stayed calm, which helped calm his citizens in those confusing times.

Wrap up: Now being stuck in the underground with a bunch of breakfast themed monsters, Frisk has the option to befriend or betray them on their way to the surface.

Now be prepared to learn about other characters as well, because I didn't painstakingly come up with designs for each main character and some side characters just to stop at Frisk!

I am sorry that it's blurry, I chose the wrong canvas size lol, and also I'm sorry that the title is in Papyrus font :] btw the art style looks a bit different because I'm on my usual art medium Procreate, rather than my schools photoshop app on their computers since school's out where I am.

Breakfasttale Undyne:

Introduction: Here's a butch lesbian fish that's also yogurt!

Breakfasttale undyne is based off of a good healthy breakfast of vanilla yogurt with blueberries, walnuts, and almonds! Most of the aspects of this are implemented into her hair, as it is in fact yogurt with blueberries, walnuts, and almonds mixed in with it; though her skin matches the yogurt as well!

I would've used blue from the blueberries for her skin but then I thought that was basic and didn't make sense since the yogurt is the main part of the dish she's based on so I decided against it.

Routes: On the genocide route, she's still determined as ever to save the underground from the 'human' Frisk by challenging them and battling to the death. Of course, this doesn't turn out well, given the fact that it's the genocide route, and when the battle with a true hero is over, she turns into a healthy bowl of yogurt with blueberries, walnuts, and almonds. This consumable, when eaten, gives +10 temporary points to Frisk's defense stat, along with +5 attack points; All disappearing once the battle of which the consumable is eaten is over. This also grants Frisk a spear, much like the one Frisk uses in battle against Undyne to protect their soul from oncoming attacks; though this spear only lasts for 6 turns, before disappearing. During the battle against Undyne the Undying, there is a fairly well known line of her asking 'what did you do to him?' referring to Papyrus. Well, now you can answer that! By eating his consumable waffles in front of her. When the waffles are eaten she will look at Frisk in shock before screaming in anger and disgust 'How could you!!!!' then battle continues as normal.

On the pacifist route, Undyne behaves as normal. You hide from her in Waterfall for as long as possible, before she finds Frisk and challenges them to battle; Frisk runs all the way to hotlands where she gets dehydrated and passes out. Frisk then pours a glass of milk on her, and she gets up and walks back into waterfall in dismay + confusion. The hangout at Undyne's house plays as usual, other than instead of her challenging Frisk to make spaghetti with her, she challenges Frisk to make waffles with her, which again prompts a question about cannibalism that she quickly ignores.

Wrap up: There we have it, our butch fish lesbian of Breakfasttale! Ngl, I looked up 'body builder breakfasts' to figure out what food to base her off of. Also, apologies for being gone for so long, the summer is here and it's really hot, and when I get really hot I get sleepy so I haven't really been able to motivate myself to do much other that lazy day things, lol.

Breakfasttale Side Characters:

I thought it would be kinda fun to design some of the side characters that Frisk encounters, so here are two fully drawn ones because the rest are just sketches. Nabstablook: the sad piece of floating toast

and then we have Muffet: the lemon pound cake muffin

I learned from this au that just about any pastry can be breakfast which I think is interesting.
