He wouldn't cry, Tyler did enough of that when they were kids. He could strain himself to the point of breaking, but his heart would never overflow, soul in hand, no matter how hard he pressed his cheek to the center of Derek's back and whimpered. Every full moon, it was the same, the nights that he remembered her blood on his hands, holding Grayson for the first time. Derek had been there through all of it and all Ty could do when the moon was full was wish the pain would go away.
It wasn’t unusual, Tyler’s behavior when the moon reached its peak in the sky, brilliant and haunting. Ever since they'd been reunited the draw of the moon created a rift in his twin's mind, drew him apart at the seams and broke him down to nothing but pain and sorrow. It was something Derek could sympathize with, not only because Tyler was his brother, but because he had felt something all too similar. Still felt it as he held Ty close, tangled their legs and fingers together hoping to bring some modicum of comfort to the only family he dared care for.
