Tasha seems like the kind of mother who would have a sweet nickname for each of her kids, so here we go.

Adam: Booger

Now its not a cutesy nickname, but for Adam I feel it would just make sense. She calls him it in an affectionate way. However every time she calls him it, he ends up picking his nose.

Bree: Bumble Bee

Bee is very similar to Bree, however makes sense because one her main ability is speed. Plus she gives Tasha all the buzz and gossip from school.

Chase: My little Thinker

Kinda self explanatory. Tasha knows the main way to make chase feel love/appreciated his complimenting his intelligence. So therefore he is her little thinker.

Leo: Honeybun

Idk how to explain this one. It just feels right and definitely something Tasha would use.

Marcus: Lovebug

Even after pretty much being ignored and neglected by Douglas, Marcus is pretty clingy/loving to parental figures (bc he still desires a "proper" family love). So calling Marcus love bug makes sense when he's affectionate.

i mostly watched them from scott’s pov since jimmy’s video style just isn’t really my thing (and scott’s was more explicitly romantic in empires), so i was p much all the way with scott’s narrative. i saw them as like. the love was there and it didn’t change anything. but it mattered because they loved each other and maybe in another world without all of the terrible circumstances they could’ve made it work. and they find each other in every universe but they never get a chance to be just happy together.

(and then i realized that scott’s empires s1 finale wasn’t really narratively coherent. and then dl came around and also in empires i kinda preferred fwhimmy)

I reblogged and added on to a post about Bree earlier today and it got me thinking/focusing on her and other characters fashion styles. I think they have more meaning the just being clothes. At least for Bree and maybe Marcus.

I agreed that Bree's character herself was inconsistent. But looking closer at her clothes so is her style. There is so much going on and not much consistency minus her brightly colored boots. Some episodes she had more "girly" attire while in others it was more neutral or Tom boyish. And then there's some where I have no clue what's going on. Just like her personality/mindset it wasn't consistent. Her style wasn't normal or set because she never had the chance to be normal herself.

Now some could argue that it's because she was raised in the basement and didn't quite know how to dress/fit in. But her inconsistent style went on through out majority of the show minus the academy part. And the boys had a designated style. Chase with polos, flannels, and jeans. Adam with t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans. They were very consistent.

Even Leo had a consistent style. A long sleeve shirt with a fun short sleeve over top and some baggy pants. Sometimes his shirts even represented something in the episode. Later on as he "matured" his style grew more neutral and classic teen.

Marcus in the beginning wore brighter clothes and colors. I think this was done to make him appear as an approachable and "good" kid. But as he appears in season 2 of the show his color scheme is much darker. I think this signified his villain arc and that we were about to see a darker side of Marcus that we hadn't fully seen in his first appearances.

Rewatch Notes/comments/thoughts season one part one:

Ep 1 & 2

The lab, house, school, and mission suits are different from the very first few episodes. Personally I think they downgraded a lot, minus the school it looks better later on. The mission suits I think were the biggest downgrade. They used to look really good, but after the initial introduction they look like a cheap Halloween costume. Also the house and lab were changed as well (but overtime) I think the originals looked more high tech and fancy.

Batman Referencing!!

Can we look at the amount of times something cool happens to Leo and it makes him popular, then next episode he's back to being the school weirdo that gets bullied. (First ep basketball dunk & Leo's Jam)

Fitz the driver (who's supposed to relocate the rats) has a little bionic logo pin on his suit jacket.

It's weird that Donald thought it would be good to replace his "kids" with robots for Leo.

And the fact that Donald finds in funny/is okay with shocking "robots" that look exactly like his "kids" is really messed up. It's even worse because they were actually the kids. Then even just throwing them in a recycling crusher, is weird. I mean in this case it was push by Tasha, but I don't blame her. She's actually a good parent and very pretty.

Ep 3

Like how upset does Chase need to be for Spike to come out. We only see Spike a few times through out the series, yet I'm sure he's been upset more than those appearances.

Principal Perry references Roller Derby in ep3!!! She's wacky, weird, and kind of cruel but I love her.

The dog park location looks very familiar. It appears that the area/setup is very similar to the frozen yogurt parking lot. They used the same area for various set locations just redesigned.

Ep 4

Adam and Leo playing with toy robots is cute.

I love Leo's fun shirts.

Donald was more worries about having to re explain himself, than the fact he just froze Chase. And later pretty much said if Leo on the mission he was going to get Tasha a puppy to replace him. Like WTF

This episode is when they in my opinion downgrade the suits.

Ep 6

Chase was literally me in high school freaking out over a A-

The Better School design appears!

Too early in the season (for Marcus anyways), but theres a drama club try out flyer on the wall of the stairs.

Ep 7

Episode is pretty much just Chase wanting to work with his "father" and shows a lot of their similarities

Feel bad for both Chase and Leo. Chase enjoys working with his dad and was disappointed when he wasn't going to be presenting with Donald. It wasn't right for Donald to take that away from Chase, it was his thing. However this was the first time that Leo was going to do Father&son like with Donald and it was wrong for Chase to ruin that.

There's always unique looking plates/dishes around there kitchen counters and table.

Don't know when I actually noticed this but there's always a few guitars in the background of the house, close to Donalds work area.

The podium positions switched between scenes

I think Adam forgot to add water to his Spaghetti cause it looked a little dry.

Why does everyone hate on Tasha's career? They're always so negative towards her reporting skills.

Does Eddy truly have purpose? He doesn't seem to secure/protect very often. Purposely disadvantages the family. He's also almost never there.

Leo's hexicopter gift from Donald seems like a cool idea in theory. (You control it with your mind) But not such a good idea for someone who breaks without thinking about it.

Okay but like seriously where do these kids find these hired performers. Car salesman clown? The dolphin?

Why does Donald carry that much cash on him? Especially that many twenties

I swear the training simulator background looked so much better years ago 😅

I wish we got to see some more of the house. Bumper car room? Arcade? I mean we don't even get to see a bedroom or anything besides the main room and lab.

Okay but the Zebra chair looks and would be if it didn't have a hole with a rat. It's honestly a nice chair.

Tasha just really wanted daughter time, just a little over excited. Also a little too excited about Leo liking a girl. She really loves her kids.

Adam is just stealing property at this point.
