I just realized something, you're a gambling counselor and Bree' s brother is a gambling addict :O
Yes! :3
oh m ygod bree is older than me?now i feel better about not having my life together thanks
Well, chronologically older than you ;D
The next book takes place when Bree is still 18/19 though, even though if time functioned in my books the way it functioned IRL, she’d be 22 :3
So was Bree like some introvert's dream for you? Not her living situation, but the whole having an extrovert just break that asocial personality of yours. (Not to say you are asocial or introverted, but I am and that's like some fantasy for me, although I know it's unfair to expect that).
Bree’s not supposed to be a perfect anything - she’s actually supposed to be an introvert’s nightmare. She invades people’s boundaries, it would drive me nuts if someone showed up at the places I was when I didn’t expect them. She pushes the point, she asks invasive questions and doesn’t show ordinary respect for people’s privacy.
I’m glad she’s your fantasy - she’s not mine! She’s not Min’s, either. Min needed a push, though <3
Tbh, as a super introvert reading Bree was a constant struggle between "oh god, please don't, why??" and "but she doesn't mean any harm, someone just needs to patiently explain boundaries to her" I love her and she's really well written but I would run screaming from her in real life xD
The way you described Bree was exactly what I was going for (maybe with a little bit of “PLEASE LEAVE AND NEVER COME BACK???”, followed by crippling guilt at how upset that would make her).
She’s definitely not someone everyone would be able to stand. She’s quite a polarizing character.
Okay shit. Bree is my worst nightmare and I've only just finished chapter 3! It's one thing to accost your idol in the street, but actually going to their home like that. That shit is terrifying o.o
Yes. Bree specialises in Violating Your Personal Boundaries. ;)
I'm about halfway done with UMS and Min's journey really made me question what I think about myself. I enjoy reading it very much, because things are suddenly starting to make so much sense, but at the same time I see myself with the same struggle as Min... I need a Bree in my life...
I’m glad UMS resonates with you, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
...I’m in two minds whether or not I say “we all need a Bree in our lives”, because Bree is a boundary-breaching vortex of catastrophe, but I think we can all agree we need someone whose role is like Bree’s in Min’s story ;)
Happiest of birthdays to ya @asynca! With Min & Bree <3 I wish I had time to draw something fancier for ya!
