Yellow lab?

they are too good natured. like what are they hiding. why are they hiding it.

also: we need to stop portraying them as perfect family dogs, because i have client after client with a <24 month lab who's just out of control. just off the walls. FIVE YEAR OLD labs are perfect family dogs. 9 month old labs are energizer bunnies on speed.

breed shaming: coonhounds or pointers or honestly any Loud Hound that you'd like to go after

well first of all pointers aren't hounds so jot that down

ok so here is my problem with coonhounds: there don't need to be 6 breeds. i will give you that plott hounds are something else, and while you can hunt raccoon with them, they're definitely not the same thing as a redbone or black and tan.

...because a redbone and black-and-tan are fundamentally the same dog? what is the difference between a treeing walker and a tricolor english coonhound? don't tell me i don't actually want to know but you don't need SIX BREEDS OF THEM

brew shaming: blood hounds?

bloodhounds are with neapolitans and shar pei in the group of "yes i know your breed standard doesn't specify a MAXIMUM amount of wrinkle but come on"

the problem isn't that beagles are loud, although they are, the problem is that beagles have an incredible food drive and the world's most generous definition of what counts as "edible"

Breed Shame: Portuguese Water Dog

everyone else has said this but: they are not a purebred doodle. they are a high maintenance water retriever and if not treated like one, they WILL relandscape your yard for you

Breed shaming: spitzes

SUPER late but ok so here's the thing: spitz is a body type not a breed type, and i just do not vibe with the appearance. it doesn't do anything for me. i can't tell you why.

beyond that there are herding spitzes and guarding spitzes and drafting spitzes and hunting spitzes and presumably terrier spitzes, so it's not a personality problem i simply do not like it.

Breed Shame: Yorkie

all yorkies are, at heart, full size terriers. virtually all yorkie owners actually wanted a stuffed animal. the dichotomy is why i hate so many yorkies.
