“Yes. Yes, I’m on my way, Logan,” with her cell phone firmly pressed to her ear, she’d slipped out of bed before she and Dean had even woken up for the day. Apparently something fishy was going on in one of the towns that Logan and the rest of the siblings had a chance to stay more than a couple of months in: this town was the closet things that the Saunders siblings knew as a home. 

Slamming the phone shut, she made her way over to Dean, shaking his shoulder lightly. “Hey, Dean? Baby, wake up, I gotta talk to you a little bit.”

“I didn’t think you’d be home yet,” the words fall from a very drowsy Emmy’s mouth. The smell of cakes and pies and pastries filled the house, even as the clock drew closer and closer to well past midnight. It was a sleepless night for her it seemed like. No matter how many times she had tried earlier in the night, every time her head hit the pillows, she would be plagued with the thought of michael. 

“will you hand me the vanilla extract right over there,” emelia said, her eyes almost about to flutter shut at their own leisure. “i need it for the next recipe. before however she can get it from him, she hears the timer go off, and she lazily makes her way to the stove ----- preparing to take the hot pans out of the oven without even so much as an oven mitt on.
