How did brendon come across his darling?

Brendon was at his absolute limit. He had no support system and at his lowest moment, he made a decision…He was leaving his miserable grocery store job one night. As he was walking back to his crappy car, fiddling with his keys, the key ring breaks causing his keys to drop to the ground.

That was it.

Tears began to swell from his eyes as he angrily picked up his spilled keys.

“Oh, you dropped this one too” a voice in front of him, startling him out of his spiral. He looks up to an outstretched hand holding his house key. He reaches out for the stranger to gently drop the key in his palm. Brendon looks up to see them smiling politely at him.

“There you go, have a good night” the stranger waved “Oh! I love your shirt, by the way”

Brendon watched the stranger walk back to their car and drive off.

He was smitten.
