survival multiplayer is over for me, back on my dear creative mode. planning a village inspired by my grandma's... i don't think i can pull it off because minecraft stone is too grey in comparison to real life granite houses and no other block matches but i will try
the multiplayer server i play on is closing pretty soon, after two years and two seasons!! and that means it's time to share many screenshots of my beautiful and forever unfinished season 2 base which was a lot of fun to build and work on :)
first of all, my humble research outpost by the beach, starter base and storage for the loooongest time. last two pictures are of the basement where i stored my potions and my research/explorer logs
these two look a little sad but this is the beach i started terraforming last year and then i got bored of terraforming and never got back to it..... i wanted to immitate the wet sand and the tides with the the brown gradient (i think it turned out pretty cool) and the netherrack outlines were meant to be some nicely round boulders like those you can find on beaches but yeah, this is what's going to look like forever now, end product on my mind
my castle that turned out more like a cathedral than a castle. original plan was to build an empty and "abandoned" castle and add machines and redstone to it, as if i had taken over the building for my researcher needs... yet i took a break of many many months from playing minecraft (stardew valley's fault tbh) so sadly i just finished the castle structure a few weeks ago, and i don't feel like building some rushed machines just for the sake of it. i wish i didn't need one thousand torches everywhere to prevent mob spawn but this is the classic minecraft experience isn't it??
by the way, the idea for the castle came to me after i emptied a complete trial chamber for no reason and was left with shulkers and shulkers of tuff bricks, which is why tuff is almost the only block i built with lol
some bits of the castle/cathedral, the patio that was supposed to be a garden but there's nothing but grass... and my beautiful storage room which i really like
and last but not least, in the castle's basement, my pride and joy: my mad scientist lab <333 where i keep lots of villager zombies, zombie piglins and a drowned zombie as well for totally ethical reasons. flesh pit in the biohazard room, experimenting bed thing and my desk with very bad feng shui (intentional), where i keep my very little lore (not huge on minecraft rp tbh but i tried). there's research logs specific to the lab and some of the barrels and cabinets have items i put there as enviromental storytelling (weakness potions, leashes, sculk...)
i was also working on the nether hub (did the end portal room last season) but i never got to finish it because i got lazyyy oopsie my bad... sorry my creatures it is what it is... and helped a bit with decorating the spawn area but most of my work is the castle. honestly i believe i did soooo much more last season (land of whimsy you will always be famous..) but this was a lot of fun anyway :]
this past week i haven't played much stardew and instead i have been helping danya, raz and ln dig a masive hole in danya's area in the creatures server,, entertaining
I repeat myself everyday but man i cannot wait for it to be saturday so i can be free, i haven't been studying much these last days but honestly i'm not going to learn in two days the things i haven't managed to learn throughout these last months, so i'm just going over my notes to pretend that i'm doing something lmao
Anyways, what i've been doing at night to relax and decompress after being in front of my pc during the whole day is continue sitting in front of my pc but playing minecraft instead. I'm currently building a cathedral(? in my base on the creatures server with all the materials i've gathered after destroying a whole trial chamber. It was meant to be a castle at first but it was looking too much like a church so i'm going with the church theme now, after all this is just a box to build some farms inside and add industrial and futuristic decorations later, the church itself is just the skeleton of the whole build. Anyways here's some pictures of what it is looking as of right now + the first one from when it was just a big rectangle
