helllloooo it's mika here super excited to bring you ki yujin eugene!! i havent managed to scraggle up a bio or plots page just yet (thx to my timeliness i see) but i have a mini stats page up here and some waaaaaay too long info under the cut abt this 28 year old prim painter turned runaway tattoo artist living in apt #2b ^_^ v v excited to get to know everyone and their muses so please like this and i'll hit up your dms!!

𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙: her childhood memories are clouded entirely by nannies, a subsisting feeling of boredom and the cold marble tiles of her house. having two famous artists as parents (mom a sculptor and dad an ex-90s-idol turned ceo of an idol company) meant they were never really in the house nor did they spare her a glance until ...

it became noticeable to them that eugene shared their proclivity for the arts. suddenly, her scribbles were forced to have structure and introspection behind them (which sucked to say the least when her doodles were meant to be for fun)

she was subsequently shoved into every arts class possible

entered into a bunch of national and international art competitions from the age of 5-18 (came first-third every time 👍👍) but always felt restricted since every artwork of hers that the public saw and were submitted to competitions (think light watercolours, flowers, nature) were carefully picked by her parents and she never felt that it was really a representation of her

got super burned out at 18 from all these competitions so she applied to snu undergrad for fine arts and got in!! (🎉🎉🎉)

incredibly formative years for her and her work -- she met a bunch of people who thought like her and felt that she could be herself for the first time, experimenting with different styles, mediums, etc

inspired her art a LOT n she grew to develop her own style that she still carries forward to this day (main style is a ukiyo-e inspired watercolour paintings mixed with gothic/horror ideas ie imagine a softer takato yamamoto)

after snu she told her parents she was doing a masters in fine art at yonsei when in reality she was just jetting off between jpn and kr and interning at multiple tattoo studios LOL

after "finishing" the year, she held a bunch of exhibitions and galleries. her parents got super excited because they thought she was finally taking art seriously ...

and then they found out what she had been doing for the last year. insert ugly screaming plates smashing argument where years of resentment and bottled up feelings came to the surface!!

ended up with her getting cut off and kicked out of the family aged 22, and now they pretend like she never existed. she still hasn't unpacked how she feels about it/how traumatic it was. will she? find out never :^)

luckily she had made quite a lot of money from her exhibitions (all part of the plan👍) and used that to fund her next actions which were a) move out into a studio apartment and b) guesting at even more tattoo studios

eventually formed a loyal client base who followed her when she opened up her own tattoo studio 캔버스 (canvas) in hongdae around three/two years ago!! 15% student discount just make sure to book in advance :D

moved into gyeogang street lofts a couple of years ago because it was cheaper but also for convenience purposes (closer to studio and she also needs her morning coffee before doing anything)

𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙚: notable aesthetics include early morning cigarettes, the sound of pen scratching against paper, ink on your fingertips, late night drives, biting your bottom lip until it bleeds, headphones constantly pulled over ears, piles of sketchbooks haphazardly stacked, wine stained lips, half-finished journals and mood boards

not the most likeable person. reserved, has a short temper, pessimistic, blunt and doesn't tend to talk much (attributed to the fact that she didn't really have friends her age until she was 19). the little that she does say can come across as snarky until you realise that's just how she talks, but she is trying to do her best to remedy that and initiate conversations first since she realises it's not the best trait of hers. her 2025 resolution was to be more approachable but she's spoken to approximately two people that weren't her clients so far, and one of them was a barista at brewed awakenings

important to note that her abrasiveness never stems from actual ill-wish or anger, she's just unware of how to explain her feelings or communicate very effectively. many of her harsh corners are rounded if you look close enough

loves loves loves her work, however, and any discussion about art or tattooing means her eyes will immediately start shining

Fair warning, I'm a little bit on the slow side when it comes to replies both ic and ooc, but I'll try to keep up! Seong Inhye

Extrovert, people person, perfectionist. Ambitious, hard working, focused, passionate, creative, obsessive, energetic. Has a sweet tooth, several scrapbooks full of photos, and a dream to turn her apartment into a houseplant jungle.

Some might call her upbringing privileged, and Inhye can't deny that it's true. She just can't see it that way herself.

Her parents were well off and loved her dearly. That love showed itself in their support of her passions. They financed her entire figure skating career from the age of seven, never discouraging her, only ever wanting her to succeed.

Inhye loved skating. She still does. It was nearly all she knew for half her life. But it became apparent late in her career that she'd hit a ceiling. She pushed herself to breaking point trying to fulfil her dreams and make good on her parents' expectations. And break she did.

There are still rumours to this day about her retirement from the sport. She suffered an injury to her ankle, true, but there were rivalries and drama and endless disappointments. It's safe to say that her parents were not pleased when she turned away from it all.

Broken too, was an unofficial engagement that her parents had planned for her since her early teens. No bad blood was lost between Inhye and her potential husband. Her father, on the other hand, has never forgiven Inhye for her rejection of his dreams for her. Needless to say, she and her parents are cordial at best. That's if they even see each other more than once a year.

Despite her bubbly personality, Inhye has had very few in the way of close friends. There was always something that pulled her away or made her put up walls. She's bitterly sad about it and resolved upon moving out of her parents' place that she'd find people to connect with.

Photography had always been her hobby. Just a fun thing to do to pass the time off the ice. But during her recovery, it became a way to understand the world around her, looking at the same rooms and spaces in a different light. She took to it like a fish to water.

She now owns her own small photography studio in Hongdae a few streets away from Gyeogang named Paraiba Photography. Whilst she does many shoots in the studio, from family portraits to maternity shoots, it's shooting on location at weddings that she really loves. She has over fifty weddings under her portfolio. And yes, though she doesn't tell anyone, she does enjoy the perks of the job - like occasional free cake.

Inhye has a strong dislike of coffee. Ironic since she's living above a coffee shop. But in its place, she could drink fruit blend teas all day. Also, again. There's cake.

Somewhat inspired by talking to florists at the weddings she's attended, Inhye has a growing love for flowers and plants. Apartment 12a is filled with tastefully arranged houseplants of various varieties, which Inhye will proudly admit she has conversations with from time to time.

She'd love nothing more than to own a dog. Alas, her schedule doesn't allow for it. Maybe one day.

Han Seojin

Insomniac, coffee addict, hopeless romantic, serial dater, nerd, writer, drummer, keen cook. Younger brother, fun uncle, devoted son. Quiet, thoughtful, bit of a chaotic mess, but ever the optimist.

Seojin was raided by loving parents alongside his elder sister Seoyoon. The family lived above the samgyetang restaurant that his parents owned and his spare time was often spent helping cook or serve in the restaurant.

He and Seoyoon have a great relationship. They bicker and pretend to dislike each other as most siblings do, but both would do absolutely anything for each other.

Three years ago, Seoyoon discovered her husband was having an affair. She divorced him despite the repercussions she knew it might have, and devoted everything to raising her now five year old daughter Jisoo.

Seojin absolutely adores his niece and will often look after her at his parents or Seoyoon's apartment after school. He calls her Jiji and she she has taken to calling him Uncle Jinjin, much to Seoyoon's dismay and Seojin's delight.

He is, without a doubt, a complete nerd. Especially for fantasy. He's an avid rpg lover, devours the most lengthy of fantasy book series, and even DMed a DnD game for his friends back in uni. If you want him to open up a bit, ask him about his favourite books or video games. Just make sure you have at least half an hour to spare.

Though he tends to be reserved, it isn't through shyness. Seojin is often lost in his own worlds or thoughts, and likes to observe and listen. Some people take his quiet as a sign of rudeness, but it's often the opposite. He'd much rather listen to your story than tell his.

He'd always wanted to be a writer - a fantasy novelist if he was to think romantically. But its a tricky business, and so after failing to publish his first novel after graduating uni with a degree in English Lit, he stumbled into ghostwriting. It suits him well, keeping in the shadows, letting the words do the talking for him. He currently doesn't mind others taking credit for his work, especially when it enables him to write, publish and get paid for stories he loves to write. But he still harbours that naïve dream to one day see his work under his own name.

Seojin's friends claim his love life is cursed. He's been in seven relationships, and all have ended with him being dumped. As a bit of a hopeless romantic, he's found it all quite devastating. But it hasn't made him bitter. Far from it. He's eager to try again.

He moved into a top floor apartment to be the furthest away from Brewed Awakening as possible. As an insomniac, being a lover of coffee doesn't help his situation. Hence the need to lessen temptation. So far, his logic has soundly failed.

He shares his small apartment with his two adopted cats, Myeon and Luna. Both run circles around him, like to write their own paragraphs into his work, and have been trained to go on walks with him through the local neighbourhood. One at a time of course.

ꕥ —hey hey again guys, i definitely didn't crash after putting out my first two intros :') which i will get to all your lovely ims as soon as i finish writing about my third muse, the amazing idiotboy sejoon! (or joonie as most people call him) who enjoys uploading dumb skateboarding stunts, flirting w/ cute girls and drumming for kim aera's band! on his blog you will find a profile of course along with some lovely plot ideas, and under the cut i will provide some bullet points about his life! just like last time, simply leave a like on this and i'll hyu in the near future on his behalf! ♡

sejoon was born seaside in busan south korea in august of 1999 — no really, his mom was on her way to deliver a forgotten lunch to joonie's father only to go into labor 2 weeks early right there at the marina (his father likes to joke that joonie was too dumb to know he wasn't at the hospital lmao)

his father worked as a captain aboard a deep sea fishing vessel which brought in a ton of money for the family, while his mother was able to follow her dreams of being a schoolteacher without worry of the cost of such an endeavor.

he has an older brother which will definitely be a wc at some point! i picture someone more intelligent, successful and altogether more refined than joonie lol but that would be entirely up to the mun bringing him in!

a lifelong lover of both drumming and skateboarding. in fact, he loves to upload drum solos as the backing audio for the insane stunts he shares.

joonie greatly enjoyed growing up in busan and has always been a huge beach bum, but when he went away to school in seoul (waste of tuition since he ended up dropping out lmao) he fell in love with the city so a compromise had to be made.

he stayed in the city, the complex above brewed awakening to be exact, but he'd take occasional weekend trips home to busan so he could have the best of both worlds.

sejoon joined up with kim aera's band when he moved out to seoul and is now a drummer by trade, able to live off what he makes from his part in it along with some supplemental cash from his parents. his mom is his biggest supporter and is very sweet and buys the band's albums while his father is always justifiably roasting him (with love tho sldkfjdkm)

literally always has women on his mind i'm sorry, GOOD LUCK GETTING HIS ATTENTION WITH A PRETTY GIRL IN THE ROOM (unless ur the pretty girl)

personality wise: he is an emotionally simple comic relief himbo, but he does have a lot of creative chops when it comes to music and filming videos so he may not be a complete lost cause yet. that said, he does dumb and dangerous things on a pretty regular basis so maybe he is. he can be a fun person to hang out with as he loves to make people laugh and feel good, but his dedication to never leaving the fun party headspace can be exhausting for some.

important note: whenever something catches his eyes as being spicy on netflix or the like, he likes to hold a watch party in his apartment! idk why my muses love having mass gatherings in their tiny tiny lofts but let them cook 😭

ꕥ — it is kiro once again, back with another muse! this time i'm happy to introduce hyunjae, a very easygoing (almost irreverently so), poker playing train mechanic from a fairly local area! like the first time, i do have a profile for him as well as a few plot ideas, but i've yet to write a full bio as i've had so much else on my plate~ but i will provide some key information about him below the cut in bullet points! i forgot to say this the first time, but if you'd like to plot with any of my muses, please just leave a like on their intro and i will come and say hello! from there we can plot through ims or exchange dcs, whichever works for you!

is a lifelong resident of seoul and is perfectly content with that. he really likes the idea of a simple life in a simple city and really doesn't have many ambitions outside of that.

while he does have a massive passion for trains, he mostly fell into working on them for seoul metro because his dad had and still has a lengthy tenure there.

his parents wanted more for him; to pursue something outside of the bubble he'd always resided in. in his mind, he always wondered: why did he need more? he made good money. had an apartment with plenty of room for himself (most of the time).

he was happy, even despite the constant push and pull from the people around him to aspire for more. everyone was so sure he'd end up unfulfilled when really, they were the ones who'd burned themselves out chasing a break that was never coming.

despite his claims of happiness, hyunjae can very much be a glutton for punishment. his arm full of colorful artwork is enough of a sign of that. there's something about putting his hand to the fire again and again knowing he will only get burned once more that satiates something in him.

personality-wise: he's a kind soul, very warm and open with people but also quite honest though he tries to be nice about it. he's laidback to a fault; never believes the sky is falling or the wolves are coming, though he might humor you if you think that. a comforting but offbeat presence that tends to fill a room and draw eyes, even though he pretends not to notice.

important things to note: he holds a poker night in his apt every sunday and all are welcome (might even utilize lipoker for it if ppl want to play as their muses 4 real sjdjfhg), he is in a very messssssy toxic fling with min nabi that he is lowkey probably addicted to + 3rd and most importantly: he's good w/ his hands :| |: :| :oooo

about bosung (보성), 24, he/him

born on march 21st, 2000 in tongyeong to park minshik, a restaurant owner, and mae yeran, an acupuncturist. his parents separated when bosung was three years old but never officially divorced on paper. although he was co-parented amicably between households, bosung feels closer to his father.

his love for food and willingness to try new things was heavily influenced by his dad, who constantly introduced him to different dishes while he was growing up. he will always try something at least once - and if he doesn't like it, he won't eat it again. the only thing off the table are strawberries.... he's allergic to those.

bosung excelled creatively the most in school, and ran in social circles confidently. his grades weren't the best but they weren't the worst, as he'd take home pretty average marks. he never really fussed or stressed about his academics, unlike some of his peers, and spent his time helping out at his dad's restaurant vs attending a hagwon.

the interest in pottery didn't start until his now ex-girlfriend took him on a date to a ceramic studio when he was seventeen. he never had hands-on experience with clay and a pottery wheel until then, and enjoyed his time so much that he wanted to learn more.

pottery making became a hobby for bosung, and then eventually more than that, interested in pursuing a career in that field. he originally applied to yonsei university to study ceramics and sculpture but his application was denied. that didn't stop him from moving to seoul, though; he packed a couple bags and left tongyeong, chasing his new dream.

his first few years in the city were tough. he worked short-term jobs as a sheep cafe employee, a janitor, and a baemin delivery driver to keep himself afloat. on his days off, he would take classes at the nearest art studio, wanting to get better at his craft. bosung ultimately befriended the owner after attending these classes so often and was offered a job, assisting in teaching pottery part-time.

he also has an online food blog entitled 'tastefully captured', where he posts photos and detailed reviews of dishes he's had and made. he does document his restaurant reviews as well, but they are infrequent as he doesn't want to be known as a critic but rather a lover of food instead. this blog is treated mostly as a hobby than a profession but has gained a decent following since its creation. a commission, albeit small, is being earned with his posts.

as far as living arrangements went, he stayed in a gosiwon until he heard about vacancy in the gyeogang street lofts, applying for residency and hoping for the best.

bosung has since lived on the second floor from september 2022 onwards, in apartment 3a. he is known as a reliable neighbor, someone who is friendly and approachable on first impression, and will make light conversation with other tenants. on the flip side, he has a tendency to be quite a bit of a food snob, preferring to eat home-cooked meals or at shops and restaurants with reputable reviews. frozen, instant, and fast foods are a big no no. it is worth mentioning he prefers tea over coffee.

about imogen (이모젠), 22, she/her

the third and youngest child of jaehui "jay" and lillian roe, born on july 5th, 2002 in seattle, washington. she has two older brothers, leo and jude, both of whom she is close with.

her father works as a funeral director while her mother is a bank teller. they are both korean-american, jay being born in seoul and immigrating to the united states, while lillian was born and raised in washington.

her parents very seldomly spoke korean at home so her proficiency in the language is fairly low. since being in korea, she has made the effort in trying to learn how to speak and write correctly, but hasn't fully grasped it yet.

throughout her childhood and adolescence, imogen was known as bubbly and charming, often exuding high energy. those who couldn't match it or found her overly optimistic attitude overbearing withdrew from her. she used to blame herself when people did as such, as it wasn't her intention to put them off, but has gotten better at not letting it get to her as much over the years.

imogen temporarily moved to seoul in april 2024, the goal being to soul search and fully engulf herself in and absorb her culture, since she's been mostly disconnected from it for most of her life until that point. she wasn't supposed to stay long term - it was only meant to be for three months, but ended up applying for a visa to extend her stay.

as she was looking for a more permanent residence, imogen stayed with her paternal grandmother. she was initially socially awkward with her but their relationship improved over the months she had stayed in her care. feeling somewhat restricted with her grandma's house rules, she almost answered a roommate wanted ad in itaewon but ultimately decided to look for different options.

originally visited the brewed awakening cafe after hearing the buzz about it on social media, and only later found out about the renovated loft apartments afterwards. imogen had the bright idea to inquire further about them, yet was conflicted about leaving her grandmother; she didn't want to seem ungrateful for her hospitality, and knew she could stay as long as she wanted - but she plucked up the courage and expressed her desire to be independent and have her own space.

apartment 14b has been her home since november 2024. admittedly, she is not the best neighbor; often cultivating noise complaints during late hours, as she's a night owl and isn't exactly the most subtle or quiet person around. she loves to invite guests over and have them stay until the early hours of the morning, taking advantage of the quality time spent. she absolutely loves watching and rewatching shows whilst enjoying some takeout, and there's nothing better to her than sharing those moments with friends.

she works as a nail technician at a popular salon in the hongdae area, as she completed schooling for cosmetology and received her license from evergreen beauty college's everett campus after graduating high school. thankfully, the distance between the gyeogang street lofts and her workplace is within walking distance, and she never fails to take an almond croissant to go before her shifts.

wheeeww haven't done this in a minute, but hi everyone, i'm sunny! super excited to be here with jieun. she's a dj and (occasional) producer, so works a lot of late nights. you can catch her in the stairwell, sluggishly making her way upstairs, or at your favorite club playing your favorite music. i've got a profile page up with some stats, a few plots, and some more info on her background/personality below. you can hmu for plots or give this a like and i'll slide into your dms!

the story, as told by jieun, is this: ordinary clings to her skin like a sheen of sweat. her life has been typical—childhood and adolescence spent chasing after good grades and praise until the years are all cashed in and she's a twenty-something with no purpose. she'd tell you she "chose life" over a big grin, whatever that means, and pursued her passions.

the untold story is far more revealing: she's always been like this; a little eccentric, a lot more restless, never too willing to sit still and fit into a mold. as if she's running from something, or someone. she doesn't like constraints or rules. in that regard, jieun's difficult, hard to get a proper grasp of, just as she likes.

as for her upbringing... let's just say it was always her grandmother and her. she's not in contact with her older brother (the genius he is), and the narrative she chooses to compensate for her lack of trying is that he's never been a steady presence in her life anyway. everything else is just part of the details: took care of halmeoni before she passed, dropped out of university, worked a few odd jobs, stopped planning her life years out in advance—you get the gist.

when it comes to her career, jieun's good at what she does. she has a few notable credits and a bit of a following, but she's still small enough to remain in obscurity. when she's not working, she's being a bit of a nuisance to her neighbors by making new tracks, or she's lounging at a park with a good book.

personality-wise, she's laid-back, of a mild temperament, knows how to have a good time and makes for good company. also not someone that concerns herself with the consequences of her actions, so she's a go-getter, in more ways than one.
