it's very stupid for villians to kidnap Brian to get to Dom because Brian is reckless and a little shit and will very easily annoy you if he doesn't have to worry about anyone else's safety but his. Dom knows this and it adds to the stress of getting Brian back.

Dom is like “Oh no! We’re running out of time!” And everyone else is like “they just got him, we have time-“ and Dom is just frantic like, “no! No! Brian is a horrible person! But he's my horrible person! But he’s a fucking brat!”
