i think “use my best colors for your portrait” is so heartbreaking because we all know the experience of trying to paint a positive picture of someone to our friends and family even if we know they’re toxic. like deep down you know they’re not good for you but you’re too afraid to admit it. so instead you paint a false picture to cover up the real version of them and convince yourself that it’s real.

i’m convinced that people named joe don’t actually exist in real life. like i can’t remember meeting anyone named joe in my entire life. and yeah joe alwyn exists but is he really a real person?? questionable.
