It’s been - oh, it’s been years since the last time Lyra saw her only son. The only living being that gave her life any meaning. However, it wasn’t only her son that made her feel like she is worth something, the man who gave her her first and only child, Asher Cooke. It wasn’t love at first sight; it was just a drunk hookup - a one-nightstand that changed her life. Not only did she get her beautiful son out of that night, but she got a friend as well, one where she would go to war for and has.
Briar means the world to her, and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for him, though he is only half were - he is still a werewolf and one that belongs to be a part of a pack. Seeing how all packs were killed, Lyra made it her mission to seek out the remaining wolves and form her pack, one that will not only be Briar’s to run one day but a pack that will protect and defend the kingdom. It was a present and surprise for both Briar and Asher.
Though to gather the remaining wolves, she had to leave for a while on dangerous journeys to which she just couldn’t bring Briar along with her, which is why she left him with Asher. Though now, after those years that she left, she’s back - with an army of wolves coming back with her.
Walking back through the palace doors and hallways once more, it felt strange, considering she spent her nights sleeping on the forest floors for the last few years. Seriously, she should have taken ten showers before she came here? She was starting to debate just that before her eyes landed on her beautiful son.
