Description

In the painting, Spencer recalls family life at “Chapel View,” the red brick cottage built by his patrons Mr and Mrs J. L. Behrend to house the artist and his family at the village of Burghclere between 1928 and 1931, while he was working on the paintings in the Sandham Memorial Chapel. In the composition, Spencer appears from the right carrying the baby’s bath. His daughter Unity (born in 1930) lies in Hilda’s lap, while the elder daughter Shirin (born 1925) drags in the bath mat pursued by the cat.

1930 brick cottage in Atlanta, Georgia was gutted and remodeled right down to the foundation. It has 4bds, 3ba, and is under contract for $699,900. What do you think of the garden wall made of radiators painted yellow? If the new buyer doesn't want it, can you imagine how heavy they are?

If this used to be an entrance hall, it's a dining room/library now.

Next is a small sitting area facing the now-open stairway wall.

And, lastly, is the kitchen. I don't really like the cabinetry- it's just a counter over tool boxes on wheels and I don't like how the back looks.

They used old gym lockers for storage in the kitchen.

This TV room is cute.

The main bedroom has a door to the porch.

This bath may have been taken down to the sticks. I think they're old, but I'm not sure.

Cute closet idea. This home is pretty creatively done.

This bath is nice- I like the black wood and vintage sink.

This reminds me of my apt. b/c the laundry is in the loft. I don't like it there, either.
