I liked Dancing Around Each Other so much I had to make a waltz piece for it :3
Thank you so much for this, this is AMAZING! I was conflicted on how to respond at first since what you composed really means a lot to me. I felt like, no matter what polished way I try to praise it, it wouldn’t give it enough justice. I listened to this for 40 minutes straight in awe. To me, this is what is playing at the end of the fic. I'll try and find a way to link the music, I swear! >:^J
sad to see it go but thank you so much for your funger writings!! :D 💖
Thank you so much for your kindness, it means a lot since writing has recently stopped being fun. Although a shame, I feel good with where I'm stopping. I realize my profile appears private and sparsely updated but I look forward towards seeing the community grow from the sidelines :^P
i binged every single daarin fic on ao3 last weekk and i just wanna say i really enjoyed your daarin fics <3 looking forward to the next one
Thank you so much for your kind words -♡- ! I still have to complete the final chapter for the second work but I am making better progress now haha. Anyone who takes the time to read my silly little fics is appreciated by me so I hope you have a lovely day :,^J
I don't think I can give you anything concrete since all I write is fanfic haha. Something I think about a lot while writing is pacing (letting a scene marinate? idk how to describe it). I also prefer to overwrite since deleting during editing is easier lol. If you want a more "hot take" about writing, please read under the cut.
This video OMG. Although the video is mostly a critique against het-romance tropes / booktok, I still think it is applicable for anyone to watch. It also touches on media literacy and how one can write about sensitive topics (or really anything at all), as long as one gives it the deserved finesse and care. Below is a excerpt from [45:05]:
"We have to dismantle this idea that romance has to always be showcased through toxic masculinity. Like, I'm so fucking over this. It's tired, it's boring, it's tacky ... like enough. Petty arguments, strong-arming and coercion is OUT. Being pathetic and a simp for your lover is IN.
[If Colleen Hoover] can make a ton of money writing self-indulgent smut ... then so can we. So can you. Start writing now!
Write what you know, embed parts of your existence into your characters. Because someone out there has also shared whatever thoughts and emotions you've had. Entrust that they will find your art and relate."
