bUT AHHH IT WAS SO GOOD THANK YOUUUU A;SLDKFJ;ASLKFJ
For any of you that want to read it, the fic is here!
...his lips against your gently. It's just barely a taste, but you can feel him smiling against yours, and you raise your fingertips to graze along his smooth cheek as if trying to solidify the idea that this wasn't a dream. Encouraged by your reaction, he kisses you a little longer, a little firmer. Rather than a brush, he presses his lips to yours before catching your bottom between both of his, and releasing it to taste both lips again. It's just a couple seconds before he pulls away. (con't)
..."I do hope that makes up for earlier, putting you on the spot like that." Your words fail you as you open your mouth to say something, and close it once more, grinning beside yourself. He brushes your cheek with the backs of his fingers before kissing your forehead and releasing you entirely. "Take care." There's a light cheekiness behind that shy grin of his, as if he knew full well his affect, before he gave a final wave and disappeared back into the con.
I'm not sure there was a first part of this that I missed?
but adslfkjas;fljasldfj youuuuu
THANK YOU DARLING!! def made my night...
Alright, fic time. This'll be from the POV of tom. ahem. "As I stared out at the crowds, thinking this would be yet another dull and meaningless Q&A, I happened to spy one young lady, as pretty as i have ever beheld, dressed as mystique. She caught my eye and held it, and i couldn't stop staring until she finally stood up. She immediately opened up with an apology, which was simply uncalled for. What does a woman of such beauty have anything to be sorry for. So i outright told her, that
It's kinda hot actually, not even paying attention to what she was saying, so transfixed by her beauty. i couldn't quite hear what she said afterwards either, so i just decided to laugh. After the Q&A, I searched everywhere for her, but alas, she slipped through my grasp. I still continued to look for her, at all the cons, and on tumblr. But i have yet to succeed. But rest assured, when i find her, she will be mine. I couldn't bear it any other way.
a;sldfkja;slgja;gha;d;aeifaejgi; youuuuu i love you. yes this is good. I approve of this highly, thank youuu

Chapter 5 Briddleston The End of the Beginning
Silence, ear splitting, glass shattering, mind numbing, silence. It surrounded them like a thick blanket that hung in the air as they looked at one another. One gaze hesitant, frightened, yet set, determined not to show fear, to be proud even as she sat ready to crumble at the faintest breeze, and the other, stunned, thoughtful, conflicted, there was so much in his one look that she could not pick out all of its meanings.
So she waited, and waited, it seemed like an eternity of waiting, but what else could she do but wait, wait for his mind to comprehend, to mull over, to decide. The only comfort for her poor nerve wracked body was his hand still holding hers, a hit of connection that perhaps he had forgotten. As if seeming to finally remember his hand slipped from hers, leaving it suspended there in the air.
He was pulling away, no, leaning back in his chair, further from her, no, one hand touched his chin, while the other rested in the crook of his elbow. He just staid like that for a moment, looking at her. Speak, please, dear god please just say something, anything!
“Do you know how old I am?” As the words slipped off his lips time seemed to move again as the clock tolled, she took a breath, and the silence was broken.
“Thirty… Something,” she piped up. Bri knew that at one point she had known his exact age, but right now in this moment she wasn’t sure she could remember much of anything.
“Thirty two,” he said in all seriousness. “Bri,” she could hear more words hang on the end of her name as he spoke it, but only a sigh followed. Thumb and forefinger squeezing the bridge of his nose, he was clearly deep in thought.
She couldn’t stand it, not anymore. This silence would be the death of her. She knew she was losing him, she could feel it, and this was the time to act. “Yeah?” Bri asked catching his attention and getting his blue eyes to turn to her.
“Look I,” her bravado was fading with ever second, and yet she had to keep it going, had to at least try, so with a groan of frustration and a deep breath she kept going, “I know it’s kind of a gap. Trust me I’ve thought about it!”
His eyebrow raised as he listened, silently wondering how much thinking she had really done on him, on them.
As he wondered she realized her slip up. Having the man you adore know you kind of obsess over him was not the greatest of things. Carry on, hurry quick! “But I mean… I get if it’s,” deep breath Bri continued, “too much of a gap? For you?” Her eyes were so pleading, so hopeful, yet understanding. “But I had fun tonight, and would like to do it again… Despite the difference,” with each word a question rang in it, sort of silently asking if this was ok, if it was ok to keep talking, to pretty much ask him out on a second date.
Tom was in awe for a moment. He hadn’t know what to do, what to say, for the longest while he was speechless racking his brain for the right course of action. She was fourteen years younger than him, he was nearly old enough to be her father, and yet still, what was so wrong with this? She was an adult wasn’t she? It wasn’t as if he was praying on the little pure flower he happened to stumble upon. Even if she physically was just barely an adult, he didn’t see a child when he looked in her eyes or heard her voice. “If you want to go out again, I would be more than happy too,” he said with the kindest smile she had ever seen.
A smile of relief washed over Brianna’s face as it seemed like the world was lifted off her chest. That was the hardest part right? This thing she had been dreading for quite some time had passed and it was all sunshine and unicorns from here on out right? Sure, ok, whatever makes you feel better?
The moment of locked gazes faded away when the waitress set their bill book on the table and again walked away. “Oh,” grabbing her purse she flipped it open and took out both twenties knowing that would pay for her part of the meal. Going to set it on the table Bri was stopped by the look on his face. “What?” she asked.
Lips tense his eyes went from her eyes to the bill in her hand before chuckling and shaking his head. “Put that away,” he said setting a credit card from his wallet in the bill book before continuing, “I brought you on this date, so I will pay.”
“But I can pay for my part,” she insisted. Bri didn’t want him to think she needed to rely on him for his money, and she had enough dignity to pay for her own dinner.
Tom sighed softly as his soft gentle and playful gaze met her own. “I never said you couldn’t, I just want to treat you,” he said carefully. As the night wore on he was slowly realizing that this woman had a dignity and pride that he wasn’t quite use to. Most women would not have even offered to pay or even if they did as soon as he told them to keep their money they would have let it go, and yet Brianna was not most women.
Jaw tensing a little bit Bri gave up with a little nod before slipping the pieces of paper back into her purse. Next time she would grab that little black book before he could and pay. Wait, next time? Oh she was already thinking on next time. Smile curling up the corner of her lips she sipped down the rest of her drink.
“Tomorrow is Friday isn’t it?” Tom asked looking at her.
“Mhm,” replying with a little nod she smiled wanting to know what he was getting at.
“I was thinking, that I would like to visit the famous Californian beach while I am here, but it isn’t any fun going on your own,” smiling at her she smiled back at him. “Though I think Saturday would be a good day to enjoy the ocean, and we could go a bit earlier in the day since you won’t have lessons,” he said. “What do you think?” he asked.
Opening her mouth to reply she was cut off by the waitress handing Tom back his card which he quickly slipped into his wallet that then went back to its resting place in a pocket within his jacket. Dinner was eaten and paid for, it was time to leave. Standing she knew this fairy tale was ending, the time with him tonight was limited.
Turning to leave Brianna said a thank you to the waitress missing Tom setting a twenty dollar bill on the table as a tip before catching up in a few long strides. This time without really thinking her arm wrapped around his like the fitting of a puzzle peace, and while she was too lost on her thoughts about the car ride back he stole a glance at her as he smiled. The door opened for her again and as she slid in hearing the thump of the door shutting, feeling the end of it all was nearly painful. The time was limited, so she kept her eyes on him.
Big long fingered hand ran through his hair pushing the curls back that had lost their place throughout the evening, those same beautiful hands yanked his jacket back into place, all the while he was unknowingly being watched by his date, but when he opened his door to get in Bri’s eyes instantly snapped to her hands in her lap. The turning on of the engine to fill the silence between them grew just a bit louder as Tom drove out of the parking lot and onto the street. Even at nearly 8 o’clock at night the street was filled with cars, and out of the corner of her eye she could catch a glimpse of his chest rising and falling in a big sigh.
“I better take you back home then, eh?” Asking with a big smile and a small chuckle, that sure earned a wide eyed look from his date.
Better take her home? Was there ever another option? How could he not show her what was behind door number two!? “Yeah,” she laughed it off at the anxiety in her gut. Oh stop being nervous you big idiot he was making a joke, she berated herself as she watched the city lights go past. That activity for the eyes did not last long though, as they were drawn back to him.
Just sneaking glances, that was all she dared take, not wanting to be caught staring. “So, Saturday?” she asked raising a little eyebrow to strike up conversation for the drive.
“Awe yes, I was thinking… perhaps we could go to the coast, have lunch there, swim,” he said smiling.
“Have a picnic? On the beach?” she asked with a grin.
“Well, yes. Why? Do you not like the idea?” Worry bubbled out of the man’s voice as he glanced over at her.
“Oh no, I love it!” she said quickly, “it’s just very… movie like I guess.”
“I am an actor,” he mused causing them both to chuckle.
“True,” she said.
“I will have to talk to Luke about time and where and all those other sorts of things,” he said with a hint of apology in his voice.
“Ok. So, Luke, he is your publicist right?”
“Yep, and my best friend,” he said.
“He goes everywhere with you?” she asked.
“Usually yeah, I don’t know what I’d do without him,” his ever present smile still glowing he turned onto her street.
“That’s neat,” she said thoughtfully. They must share a hotel room or something, wait why does that matter?! Bri instantly pushed away that train of thought because she knew exactly where it was headed.
Pulling up to the school Bri sat up a little straighter expecting to get out and walk back to her dorm as he stopped, but then he shut off the car. Turning to look at him her wide blue eyes were full of questions.
“May I walk you to your door?” He asked.
He asked!? Did he really need to ask!? Smile spreading across her face she nodded. “Yes, yes of course!” She answered. “I apologize in advance for my roommates though,” she said as she unbuckled and opened her door slipping out of the car. Tom did the same but because he couldn’t open her door he made it around in time to shut it for her.
“Lead the way miss,” he said in a bit of a playful tone.
Chuckling Bri led him side by side up to her dorm, though her anxiety was coming back. This was it. Like every movie there was the perfect dinner date, the walk to the door and then, the kiss. The kiss! Breath!? How was her breath? Had three brushings been enough? Had dinner completely ruined the smell of her breath? Pushing back her hair they made it to her door as she stopped to turn and face him.
“So, is this where you kiss me?” Looking away she laughed a nervous little sound at her joke as she rubbed her arm before looking up at him. Captivated by his gaze she felt her heart do a little pause before kick starting back up.
“I dunno, on a first date?” he said with another playful grin. “But… if you insist,” he whispered. Leaning down he reached out a gentle hand to touch his warm fingertips to her cheek.
Frozen she couldn’t move. A kiss, this was impossible. Things like this don’t happen, ever, to anyone!
Her eyes drifted closed as his face drew closure. She could feel his warm breath across her face and the air in her lungs halted in place just as she felt soft lips brush across her cheek, nearly at the corner of her mouth.
“Hey-ohhhhh...OH!” Kaitlyns voice snapped Brianna’s eyes open and she caught a glimpse of a panicked expression disappearing behind a quickly slamming door.
Pulling back Tom could not control his laughter. Shaking with it Bri could only join. That moment had just been too great, too much, that she couldn’t even be angry at Kaitlyn or let down that his kiss had only reached her cheek.
“What a way to end the night,” he mused.
Still giggling she nodded.
“Goodnight Bri… may I call you?” he asked looking at her.
“No, don’t,” she said with a completely over the top sarcastic emphasis.
“Alright, goodnight then,” he said with a chuckle.
“Goodnight Tom,” she said ending their date and watching him walk down the hall to disappear around the bend.
