One of my good friends just came over and asked me to be her bridesmaid for her wedding in the best way possible: margaritas. She knows me 😍

Bride Tribe: Big Sister (1)
In my sixth grade summer, I went to good ol Bethesda Baptist Church camp. The mosquitos were biting, the cicadas sang loudly, and the lessons were taught in an open air tabernacle. I've got a lot of fond memories of that little camp, and one of them is gaining a big sister.
Listen, I was a weird child. So making new friends was kind of a miracle thing for me (ask my mom, she still doesn't believe me when I tell her I made new friends) and in my weirdness, I found you, Ruby Star.
Ruby (Closet Monster),
I will never forget (and always be grateful for) Anderson putting me with you to teach me how throw a shot put. I still panic when the phone rings and your name is on the screen, because I'm so afraid that we will have to endure another heartbreak together.
I chose this picture particularly because it was one of the many times you've rescued me. I called you bawling and packing my bag, because I was coming to you four hours away. You gave me refuge. You saved me that day from leaving my car on a bridge, and stepping of the edge... I knew if I didn't make it to you that day on my way there, you'd never forgive yourself.
You have always been a pillar of strength for me, and always make me laugh. You take care of me, and threaten every boy that has come into my life.
You have made me laugh until I've cried, fed me snacks, taken me on adventures, let me sleep on all of your couches, and I am so proud of the mama and wife I've gotten to watch you become. I hope that in my marriage, I am strong like you, and protect my babies the way you protect yours.
I love you, Rubigail.
