Alternate Routes for West Seattle High-rise Bridge closure - SDOT Blog

We closed West Seattle High-Rise Bridge to all traffic due to accelerated concrete cracking that was identified during a regular bridge inspection.

All vehicles are prohibited from crossing the high-rise span of the bridge between I-5 and Fauntleroy Way SW.

Motorists should use the First Ave or South Park bridges. See map above for alternative route suggestions for getting to the First Ave bridge.

We’ve alerted navigation services likes Google Maps and Waze about the bridge closure and they should reroute you over the First Ave or South Park bridges.

CHP: Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Closed Due to Falling Concrete

At 11:51 am Thursday, the California Highway Patrol has shut down the I-580 Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is closed in both directions due to large pieces of concrete that fell from the top deck onto the lower deck.

CHP is working with CALTRANS to determine the problem and work on a solution.

CHP said around 12:10 pm that there is no estimated time to reopen.

Closures of both lanes for up to 20 minutes at a time have been approved by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure as contractors work on bridge jacking as part of the Nipawin Bridge rehabilitation project on Highway 55, north of Nipawin, SK.

The White Fox bridge will be temporarily closed, today, Thursday, April 19th 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM as an inspection is being conducted on the bridge. 

The bridge underwent repairs in 2017 after a massive ice jam damaged the bridge and eroded the river banks at the footing.
