“I’m not being funny here Bridget,” Gunner mumbles, nose wrinkled in distaste as he continues to watch the movie she’s playing on her laptop, “but these movies are... super shit.” Watching Edward Cullen basically have a stroke in his science classroom wasn’t exactly changing Gunner’s mind either. This was probably the third or fourth time Bridget had insisted they tried to watch the series together, and it only seemed to get worse with every attempt, “I’ll give you 20 bucks to put something else on. Or to do literally anything else. Bonus points in our friendship if you do it for free, though.” @bridgcts

techincally speaking, the event had only been on for about an hour or so, but alistair was already bored out of his mind. he supposed galas could be exciting ( given you were a first-time attendee or someone who really enjoyed networking and forced small talk ), but by now, he’d been to so many that if anything, they’d become routine. the same people, the same conversations on loop again and again for hours on end, only to be interrupted by his parents insisting they needed to introduce him to someone (”you never know when a connection could come in handy, chéri”). and so, as soon as his parents were too deep in a discussion with the chancellor of the exchequer to notice him going missing, he made his way over to perhaps the only person more bored than him: bridget. “you wouldn’t mind if i steal the princess for a second, would you?” he asked, the question clearly rhetorical as he linked his arm with hers.
