Like I was saying in my previous post, I pushed my long run from this past weekend to Monday night so that I can run @startrunnin ‘s TriBoro Turbo race. Yes, marathon training can still be fun and you don’t have to miss anything like a one of a kind race like this. I was taking it easy until I got to McCarren track where the energy was 💯 and I couldn’t help but turn on turbo mode for a couple of laps and that’s were I caught up to @misturlee and ran the rest of the race with him along with @gavin_wynn_ on the bike. Things got a bit uncomfortable climbing up the Williamsburg Bridge then having to what felt like a never ending race finishing four times at the East River Track here. It was so hot, hard, and exhausting (thank you @tdecker2 !) but I love how it took me out of my comfort zone, challenged me, and made me just that much physically snd mentally stronger. I can’t wait for the next challenge! Speaking of uncomfortable, Leland and I were recently invited to chat with the good people (@jaimepchien , @ines.bebea , & Nathan) at @getuncomfortable_podcast about all the great things Leland is doing for his community with @runforchinatown . How he saw his community struggling and threw it on his back raising not only $50K+ for local businesses but also raising awareness to #stopasianhate . We are so proud of you. You can check out episode 20 and other episodes featuring @geerod418 , @jessiezapo , more on the @getuncomfortable_podcast at the link in their bio and make sure you subscribe! Good luck at the @nyctriathlon this weekend Leland! Amazing night shots by @dhash _ #triboroturbo #bridgethetrack #startrunnin #nycracing #getuncomfortable #mentalstrength (at John V.
