Philkas The end of the beginning "No Ryan!" Lukas yells while standing in front of Philip. He is tired and worn down from the shooting wound so he has to lean on Philip but he wont let Ryan come near him again. They are somewhere in the middle of the woods near the lake, Ryan had kidnapped them at gun point and brought them out here the other night. Lukas has been in and out of consciousness but he has heard Philips cries. It couldn't have been more than a day or two but it was hard to keep track of time like this. Philip stood strong but Lukas knew what had been happening, what Ryan had done to him. Philip was bruised, tired and dirty and it was Lukas's turn to defend him. Ryan takes a threatening step towards Lukas but Lukas doesn't back down. "I said no." He swallows his fear and stops leaning on Philip. "Why do you care? You have given up a lot for this kid already, do you really want to be the next one to die for him?" Ryan takes a dominate posture, belittling any threat Lukas might pose. "First his mom, next his boyfriend. But is he really worth it? You aren't gay and even if you were, he is damaged goods now." Ryan says tauntingly as he starts to circle the boys. Philip drops to his knees behind Lukas and tugs on his pant leg. Lukas takes a slight step back so he can place a hand on Philips shoulder. "You don't know me and you don't know Philip! I am GAY!" Lukas yells, emotions making his voice crack. "Not only am I gay but I also love Philip, damage and all. He saw me and saw between my flaws so why in the hell would I abandon him because suddenly you don't think he is perfect!" Lukas takes a confident step forward. The moment he does Ryan pulls his gun out and fires a warning shot just to the left of Lukas's head. "Was that supposed to move me?" Ryan says in a slightly irritated tone. As the shot went off Philip pulled Lukas back closer to him, looking up at him with tears on his face but a fight in his eyes. Lukas nods with a slight smile. Lukas turns back to Ryan, steeling himself. "Fine. Have him." Lukas steps to the side of Philip, making sure to hobble and limp more than he needs to. Ryan smiles as he steps toward Philip. Once he is in range Philip lunges for him, knocking him off balance, Lukas joins him instantly helping him fight a vicious and ticked Ryan to the ground. Lukas lets out an agonized yelp as Ryan elbows his shoulder which causes Philip to start wailing into Ryans face, showing Lukas a side of Philip he has never seen. Lukas pulls back and scrambles around the now bloody Ryan to grab his gun. "Philip! Stop!" Lukas yells as his voice cracks some more. Philip only stops when Lukas reaches out to him and grabs his arm as he pulled back for another hit. Philip looks at Lukas, the adrenaline dulling a little. Lukas has never seen Philip like this before but somehow, dirty and with the blood of a murderer splattered on his face, he looks beautiful. "We should go while he is unconscious." It comes out as a whisper as Lukas brushes Philips hair out of his face. Philip just nods and he and Lukas lean on each other to stand. They make their way out of the shack and into the woods. "Hold on for a minute. I'll be right back." Lukas says softly as he kisses the side of Philips head. "Yeah, okay." Philip mumbles, he is still shook. Philip leans against a tree as he waits for Lukas to come back. So much happened over the past few days and it took a toll on Philips health. He starts to break down a little as he hears a gun shot back towards the shack. "Lukas!?" Philip breathes out as he stairs back that direction. Should he go back? Or should he wait? When he decides to go back he hears shuffling in the leaves. Lukas comes around a tree and is still hobbling but looks at peace. "What did you...?" Philip starts to ask but does he want an answer? Lukas smiles at him and pulls him into a hug. "It's over. He wont be back, not like last time." They hold on tight to each other as they realize that this is it, this is the end. Their struggle is over and they can finally maybe be normal teenagers. "We're safe." Lukas mumbles in Philips ear.
