I'm a OC role play blog and I feel like no one wants to role play with me. I mean, I have a few and I'm grateful for them but most of them end up dropping out rp. Do you have any tips or tricks?
[The first thing to note down is that it isn’t personal. I know it can sting and make you doubt pretty much everything about your writing but if someone can’t be bothered to give you a reason for why they have dropped your thread then it’s now worth your time worrying. I have had my fair share of OC’s and it takes a while but there are people out there willing to rp with you and keep it up.
Some tips that I’ve tried could be:
Add a few verses; such as a Supernatural verse, a Marvel verse, anything that interests you then when you get followers from that fandom your character should slot in a little easier.
Adding a short and snappy information page.
Don’t be afraid to answer opens any and all.
Answering memes aswell, after all there’s that text to the wrong number one going around which is brilliant.
Patience. It took me a long time to find a set group of people to rp with and over a year later I still know and love them but I still remember thinking that it was impossible.
OC’s do have a harder time, I know. Another thing you could maybe hunt out that rebloggable thing “reblog if you’re OC friendly” That will get you in touch with some amazing OC’s and loads of people willing to rp with you. I sincerely hope this helps! <3 Steve-mun]
