I just saw a post referring to Brienne as Jaime's "Virginal Savior" and another calling her "his proper virginal pure companion" in response to ALL THESE PEOPLE WHO CALL CERSEI AN EVIL VAGINA
all these hundreds of people who just call cersei an evil vagina on a daily basis.
So that's enough of the jaime lannister tag tonight
-prayer circle because if Lady Stoneheart is in fact completely written out of the show that means Brienne's plot line is completely in D&D's hands-
Someone mentioned Brienne in Dorne
am I allowed to scream about me and sapphiremaiden 's headcanon that Tarth was once inhabited by the Dornish and their influence has remained
is that a thing I can scream about yet
(have I screamed about this before?)
So I was thinking about the Brienne vs Hound fight and I just realized something
I think this was one of the few, if not the only, fights I've seen between a man and a woman where they both had a masculine fighting style and were evenly matched.
Brienne isn't dainty, she didn't dart about. There wasn't the go-to shot of her wrapping her thighs around his neck. She didn't run from him. There was no stereotypical feminine fight moves.
They literally had the same weapon. They had similar armor. They were the same size and build.
Hell, she kicked him in the crotch so he kicked her in the crotch.
Freakin equality, let me tellya.
Did it bug the shit out of anyone else that Brienne drew first?

NOT LIKE THIS D&D
NOT LIKE THIS
So, as myself and a couple people noticed in the last episode Brienne was eating the Kidney Pie with her left hand. This was odd.
So I went back and watched the only other time we see her near food, the dinner with Roose, and noticed her fork was on the left side of her plate. She had to grab it and cross across her body to stab Jaime's meat with it. She then places it back down on her left side.
So then I started looking it up and in the middle ages knives were the "main" utensil. So you would use your strong hand to cut with the knife. So it really wasn't that odd she was using her left hand in that scene considering she was just using a fork.
